The new Hanoi international terminal 2 opened at the end of December 2014, excellent and well planned, a big improvement on the old terminal.
It only took me a few minutes to check in and pass the security, very efficient happy helpful staff all the way.

Notwithstanding the fact that a brand new Terminal is nearing completion, the existing facilities are extremely poor to cater for today's expectations associated with air travel.
Queuing at Check-in is random at best and Security is a joke when it comes to diligence when scanning hand baggage.
Hopefully, the new Terminal will provide facilities that are more conducive to travelling to and from this amazing city.

Arrivals look pretty dark. Alarmed at the queues for immigration but our flight coincided with arrival of Qatar 772 so we were just unlucky I guess. But queues moved reasonably fast. No need to fill out an arrivals form so that was a plus.
