Boarding was great, some of the inflight services included: hot towel, hot meal and breakfast, and the crew handed out Ipads. The inflight entertainment was fantastic! The crew was so nice and by far some of the best I have ever had.

flight delayed because 4 yrs old chinese brat/kid decided to have a panic attack and took it out on his monther whilst waiting for takeoff. had to return to gate to find him a safe space... 2hr delay not AC fault

Air Canada was fine. The Maple Leaf Lounge was not great. The crew was the nicest part of the flight. We delayed for a long time to allow passengers going through the long customs line to make the flight. There are better airlines to choose when travelling transborder.

WORST CASE SCENARIO AIR CANADA:
Trying to fly out of LGA on a calm summer night, all flights delayed. Mine was cancelled due to weather issues. No compensation. They offered to put us on stand-by with some 600 other passengers. Had to pay for travel to hotel and pay for hotel before coming back early the next day to fly to Toronto. Absolutely pathetic service for what SkyTrax (ScamTrax) calls North America's Best Airline.

Operated by Air Canada Rouge, which is awful - no entertainment (only if you download the app, which you are informed to do just before take-off), food was not tasty at all and the portions were ridiculous for almost 9-hour-flight.

It was a fully loaded flight so everyone queue up in front of the boarding gate. However, as Newark terminal doesn't have much space therefore it is really crowded and I could not find my zone because people are just too packed. Besides, as all travelers known, the US security is a mess in populous cities. I took almost an hour to deal with security.
During the morning of the day, I've received their many notifications mentioning they will arrive early as 8:30pm which really impressed. However when I arrived the gate and I saw passenger from the inbound flight just arrived to the airport, I realized this is a scam. The ground staff tried to have documents verifications but I think that it turned out into delay trap as the queue was so long and it took so much time to finish that. Eventually, the flight delayed for at least an hour with the process and also the rush hour of Newark airport.
For meals selection, there isn't any complementary meals provided in this flight which I was not pleased as the flight took 5 hour. Even though, the flight provide complementary drinks and meals with fees. I wanted to get the dinner meal in the Bistro but they sold out. I could only get the beef burger instead, but the burger tastes good.
One of the most highlight point is the evening flight was supurb, especially when you can enjoy an extended sunset view during 5 hours of flight. I was so impressed when I saw the clouds turns into orange colour and red, and eventually the lights from the city turns on. The whole sunset have slow down because of time zone changes. The view was astonishing.
Another highlight is that the 787 Dreamliner really lifted up the whole experience of sightseeing in midflight. The big windows give a huge advantage to capture pictures. Also the seats is broader so I have more places to put stuffs on.
Overall it is a awesome flight for me to enjoy the scene, even though it delays and the Newark airport is really a mess.

Their carry-on maximum dimensions seem to be a bit smaller than other airlines. Both I and the person I was travelling with had to check in our bags (for $30 a piece) as our luggage didn't fit in the sizing device at the check-in counter. Wifi did not work at all during the flight, despite the entire flight being in their coverage zone (YYZ-YVR).

See Boeing 787 Review. Everything was efficient, departed the gate on-time and arrived in Toronto 10 min early. No WiFi was available, but IFE had loads of entertainment

I traveled in a new 787-9, the food was nice and there were many movies to watch. I think you kalready know my opinion. Oh, the bathroons in the plane were very good.

AC has a reasonably good long-haul product. the seats are comfortable, IFE is pretty good, and the awesome 787 the route was operated on certainly didn't hurt. I didn't enjoy the flight, but that was for reasons completely out of AC's control. AC has some poor long-haul reviews, but it's acceptable.

Not a good airline. A family of 4 request sitting together. The ground staff said 'The flight is quite full' and finally assigned us all aisle seat 15B 19B 31B 33B. Eventually we found out that many other seats, including 15A, 15C and 31A. 31C are all empty. Then how come the ground staff was such ridiculous?

Air Canada express is an excellent short-haul flight airline. Comparing Air Canada express to all the other short-haul flights I have done in Europe, there is more than a gap between european and american airlines. For a 1 hour half flight, we had screen on an Embraer 175. Unbelievable. Plus, the space between the seat are enormous ! You ca literally extend your leg as you want. Moreover, the seat was super large event in Economy class. This flight was perfect.

The original flight was AC427. However when boarding completed, the senoir cabin crew informed us we need a captain as Air Canada assigned our captain to another flight so they are finding another captain for us. Then we were told that the estimated departure time would be 2am the next day, i.e. a delay of 4 hours. All passengers then disembarked. Fortunately I found another info desk and the staff were able to change the flight to AC429 for us, which was the very last flight on that day. And the original flight AC427 landed at YYZ at 4:57am the next day, which is almost 6.5 hours...

While serving the meals, one of the flight attendents just ignored me, even after I called to her. I had to go to the kitchen to ask for the drink, but by that time there was nothing left except for water.

All four flights were delayed for no apparent reason, crew doesn't explain anything, they're just sorry for delay. I had financial consequences (hotel rebooking etc.). Nobody cares. Never again

No assistance for WCHR request in YUB and a little help in YUL but after having to wait for the only agent available upon arrival to do the boarding for a flight departing for Bathurst....excuses were shortage off staff due to strong wind alerts in Ottawa resulting in 4 flights being canceled.

Total mess with seat selection - two people from one booking were seperated. I thought it was just our problem, but no, I was put in the middle between a father and his daughter. I was happy to swap seats with them, at least they were lucky to be together on this long haul flight, but my husband still was a row behind me...

Air Canada must learn how to treat customers. Air Canada is not low cost airline but behaving like low cost. They are completely exploiting the fact they are the only one big airline in Canada serving the globe but this must STOP. Repainting planes with new livery would not make you better airline, dear Air Canada!

Boarding by zone was very efficient. There was no congestion in the jet-bridge. The service on-board in the same on all North-American routes which means on transcontinental flight is limited however on short flights it is very good for 1 hour

Fantastic crew on this flight, did not miss anything. Food was nice. After main service there where many snack offerings, either from the menu or from an arrangement of fruits and chips in the first row. A flight attendant with fresh water went through the cabin regularly.

Bad flight. When asked for water, flight attended responded with: we're arriving in 30 minutes, therefore shows a lack of care for customer, and that's their job. Once again, snacks were being charged, IFE was very unresponsive, I'm sure the ones on the MAX were a lot better.

Flight crew on this flight were the best I have ever been served by, however, although it was a domestic flight, I would have wished to have at least a snack privided without any fees. 2 drinks were served, but that was it. Not disappointed at all, just not outstanding. The map feature on my IFE wasn't working. Thankfully, the seat next to me was free. No WiFi on their 787's :/

I normally rate AC mainline 5 stars, but at the rear of the 777, we did not get beverage service until 2.5 hours into our flight.

Flew from Vancouver to Ottawa. Boarding was easy. Lots of space. Helpful flight staff. No food. Only drinks. Inflight entertainment worked but I plugged in my Beats Solo3 and I couldn?t hear sound in one ear. Headphones worked.

The check in desks were not open until 90 minutes prior to our flight. This was not ideal as we wanted to eat and shop before our flight but had to sit in the terminal (no services) until crew could check us in.

The check in at Air Canada was one of the worst I have experienced in years. There was just one person at the desk and six empty counters with a line up of dozens of people who were becoming more and more agitated as the line up got longer and the time began running out to catch their flights. It took me over an hour to reach the check-in. I talked to the manager in charge and she seemed completely unconcerned. Air Canada should get its act together, get rid of incompetent managers and stop treating passengers like animals!!

Travelling with a 3 year old kid we had reserved seats in advance.
When checking in at Havana we just got boarding cards to Toronto and were told to go to a transfer desk in Toronto to get new boarding cards for next leg to London.
When we arrived to Toronto and got our new boarding passes we got new, spread seats (very far away from each other). They told us they give our reserved seats away if we didn't pick them up 1 hour before departure, which is impossible because we were on an Air Canada flight, connecting with the London flight.
Anyway, no help at the transfer desk, no help at the gate and no help onboard the aircraft. Flight attendants just told us to ask fellow passengers if they could change seats so atleast one parent could be seated together with the 3 yaer old kid
