Very long queue at the security checks on a Wednesday morning. Overpriced bus from Bologna Central station to reach the airport.
Quite good range of shops and decent Wi-Fi connection. Beware the lack of seating in the Schengen area

The terminal has been recently renewed and is now full of shops. The usual problems remain, though: lack of seating in the departure area, extremely dirty and partly not working airside toilets, long waiting times for security. On the other hand baggage reclaim and immigration checks are relatively fast compared to other Italian airports.

Pretty swell regional airport.
Surprisingly better than most European airports of this size.
Baggage claim and customs was very fast.
The lounge is decent, with an awesome feature: you can access directly from the lounge to a dedicated priority security lane, which is really fast.

A nice and modern Airport but 6? for a Oneway Busride to the Airport is way too much! (2,70? in Berlin!)

While arriving from non-Schengen countries, you have to go through security control even if you're exiting in town and not flying further. There's just one control gate, and the lines of passengers it creates are crazy! We waited for more than an hour just to get to the passport control. Passport control was even worse. The officers were super lazy, E-Gate wasn't working. One of the worst airport arrivals experience EVER!

BLQ is a nice city airport that has been growing a lot in the last years. It's connected to the main and the secondary cities in Europe with some nice extra-EU destinations. The free Wi-Fi is a nice addition!

Aereoporto in espansione, molti voli a livello regionale ed internazionale, carenze su voli intercontinentali. La pulizia dei bagni e scarsa ed in generale poca in tutta l'aereo stazione. Nel complesso negli ultimi anni si e modernizzato notevolmente e l'attesa e piu gradevole di un tempo. Mancano ancora i finger e il people mover. Hold on....

Very dirty in general, in particular toilets and parking!
Men toilet even new ones, are smelling bad, without urinary.
Never ending refurnishing works.
Few seats close to the gates, especially nr 13 and 14 are ridiculous.

Really expensive shutlle bus to/from Bologna Central station (6? for 3km). Check-in can be quiet or crowded depending on the airline you are flying with and the period. Security almost non-existent. Pesonnel sometimes doesn't even look at the screens.
On the other hand, the terminal has been refurbished and, especially after security, looks bright. There are not many shops and places to have a drink or buy a meal, more options in the Schengen area than in the non-Schengen.

terminal is under renewing and some facilities and services are not accessible, but the overal service is getting better with a lot of innovative solutions for the departures. arriving at Bologna the baggage claim improved its performances passing from 45 minutes to 15-20. To reach the city from the airport taxi is the solution, maybe too much expensive

Parking very very dirty, expensive and the one at -1 level without elevator!
Toilet has improved, but you espect something more for a brand new airport!

They are renewing the buildings of the airport so there is a lot of confusion. At certain times there are long queues at security controll. The check-in is always slow and exhausting.

I used a taxi to get to the airport, it is the most convenient transport mode. check in for the baggage drop is fast, maybe not so fast if you need a full check in. wi-fi was not working, security checks introduced since some months a new preliminary procedure to check size and weight of the luggages and maybe it makes the queue longer, but the service is ok.
no chances to enter in the lounge from the terminal as it is before the security checks (Lufthansa silver cards not accepted).
fingers are on the way, looking forward to use them this autumn!

Bad toilets: also the new one are small with difficult access. Very dirty parking lots. Very few chairs available and small waiting areas in front of gates. Long and non logical path when you arrive and you have to get out of the airport. Working in progress since a lot of time.

50 minutes to drop-off the bag in the web-checkin counter. Rude and unprofessional personnel -probably frustrated by the workload or not well-trained to communicate with the public.

At least the security checks were quite smooth.

Parking is now impossible also for the high costs.

Baggages arrive about 45 mins after you arrive at the baggage claim area, UNBELIEVABLE!!!

security checks to be improved with faster procedures, let's see after the works are completed

Terrible and stinky toilets. One operator at boarding. Very nice and kind guards at luggage scanning. Be careful of signs to Terminal East. Check it if you really have to go there. I had useless 10 min walk.
