Nice airport, nice view from the boarding room. What I dont like is the lounge which does not locate near windows so I can not enjoy the apron view. The smoking room is great, I dont smoke but I force myself to be there to enjoy the view

Airport overall is alright, but the transportation to and from airport is TOTAL NIGHTMARE. Enough time to write a bible while getting out and into the airport.

Getting to the airport is not nice because of all the traffic around the airport. While check-in was nice and quick, the security line was long and directly pooled into immigration. The immigration line was one of the longest I've ever been in and it took over an hour to clear in a line with a LOT of passengers and with the AC presumably not functioning. The walk to the gate was incredibly long as the path was wound through a lot of retail services instead of even allowing for an alternate route direct to the gate for the passengers not interesting in shopping.

Average airport, wifi is absolutely amazing! Lots of great food options, immigration and customs were ok but went fast. Baggage claim was really slow but I eventually got my bag.

Bali Airport has great facilities inside the terminal, with great restaurants, duty free and quality wifi. The bathrooms are very clean as well. The only thing that was slow was the check in but that may have been due to the airline.

Taxi situation is a mad nightmare- get an Uber to avoid the wolfish taxi drivers, but make sure you stay in wifi range to communicate with your driver to work out where they are

Poor baggage claim, took more than an hour after arrival before we retained our bags. Should not have taken it on-board since we had small bags. Could not meet our pickup at the airport.

Immigration out took time. Good thing check-in opened 4 hours before, we arrived very early. Walk-thorough duty free was well designed. Lounge (Priority Pass) was poor in atmosphere and food. The gate was far from the central area, ended up being called for final boarding.

Even the international terminal is very small. At all times there was complete chaos everywhere in the terminal. Not too impressed with DPS.

I have to say that I was a bit disappointed with DPS as an airport. The line at the migration and customs was long and slow. Also, the signs where unclear and difficult to understand. The terminal facilities seemed to be good but there where a lot of places under reparation. Also, there where very little food or retail services at all. I really was disappointed.

Illogical airport security with numerous checks and takes fair bit of time to get through customs with no Priority options.
Bags get scanned and sealed, then seal is broken at next checkpoint when they scan bags again, then again at the check in counters.

Arrival is even worse with bags taking ~2 hours to arrive each time I've been here.

From the old facility it was, it has become a fairly good and efficient airport. Although busy, it is all handled well, and once you friendly shrug off the agressivectaxi offers Bali welcomes you.
A far cry from where I just came from: Perth.

I do not know why, after we pass through customs, we still have to fill in and show declaration bill and was selected (not 100% passengers selected) to scan baggages again.

The outside of the airport might not look nice but the inside is nice and modern. There was also a Hard Rock Cafe after security and the food was good.

Big Improvement from the old airport. I give 3 stars because the transportation to and out of the airport is terrible. When you came out from arrival hall, many taxi driver will surround you with very high fee without meter. The good and clean taxi like Blue Bird Group cannot enter the arrival hall because Angkasa Pura don't let them in, they like to cooperate with a scam taxi call taxi resmi bandara. They will ask for a very high fee. Better you have uber apps in your pphone or you will experience very high taxi fee

there is only taxi to the airport and if you use motorcycle it's a long way to the check in area. the half of domestic check-in counter is owned by Garuda Indonesia. It was morning early morning flight so there is only a few pax. the view from waiting room was very great only in some part blocked by the building .

Transfer from the domestic airport to the international is a very long walk. Not impressed, maybe its due to the ongoing upgrades, The check in counter area has vastly improved, well done!.
To get to the terminal's its like walking through the Bali markets, shops after shops and with a peak times its really cramped. Lots of shops and eating places. maybe too many, but a big improvement on the old international terminal .

I gave this airport 3 stars two years ago, but it has hugely improved and now I give 5 stars (based on the domestic terminal). The new terminal is very spacious, clean and light. There is plenty of space and check-in and security are quick. The waiting lounge provides a wide range of shops and restaurants (and more are being built), and the view on the runway is great.

Arrival and departure is a multi-step process with security checks, immigration checks and similar. Beware of putting small items on the band going in to the X-ray machine of the first security check on departure: they will fall on the other side. Watches, phones may be damaged. Officers are reluctant to provide trays to put small items in. Be prepared to pay 35 USD on arrival and 200000 rupiah on departure. Allow plenty of time and patience.

Beautiful exteriors, but appalling services. Immigration takes forever and self-proclaimed helpers will aggressively snatch up your bag at baggage claim in exchange for a hefty tip. Facilities are improving, but are still lacking.

Expected much more from DPS this time because it was first time flying out of here after terminal renewal and reconstruction. Actually not many changes - new terminal, but still dirty, overcrowded and purely indonesian in its bad manner. Having some food in cafe after check-in we even saw a rat close to cafeteria inside the terminal.

Airport staff looks not well educated, overall impression from DPS - negative.

Very dirty and a very annoying Tax has to be paid to actually proceed further to customs. Its about 15 dollars. Its too busy, small and very unclean. Staff is confused so ppl end up in wrong aircrafts from time to time.

Bali is a really lovely place but this airport is awful. Cockroaches, heat, flaking paint on walls, dirty floors. I know that they might just not have money for renovations but a thorough cleaning would change a lot!

Airport is stuffy. Don't think air-conditioning was turned on. Only 1 toilet serviceable, all others are sealed off. Only as good as a fancy bus terminal in the 80's.
