While the airport is good overall, be warned that in Malaga, there are passport checks after you pass through security and after the duty free, just before the gates. This can take some time to get through.

There is only one lounge and unfortently it closes at 11h pm despite of many flights still leave AGP after midnight
however, it is a very pleasant airport

Terrible experience with check-in and baggage drop-off. Misleading information on the boards, incompetent representatives which were not able to provide relevant information, bad command of English of many employees at the airport.

Es bastante grande y esta bien senalizado. Lo unico que no me ha gustado es que las senales estan un poco anticuadas. Por el resto todo bien y un aeropuerto muy agradable.

This is a large airport which is busy during the summer season. Passengers have to walk long distances at this airport. There is assistance available for passengers requiring it. On arrival on this occasion the biometric passport readers were only in use. Cleared customs quickly.

This is a large airport and passengers need to walk long distances there is assistance available for passengers who require it. During the summer season this airport is busy. There are trays for passengers to place laptops, tablets mobile phones hand luggage etc in to be x-rayed. The staff here need to improve their command of English to make themselves better understood. There tables after security for passengers to gather their belongings and place them in their hand luggage. Once passengers clear security need to walk through a retail outlet to get to the departure area. There are many food and retail outlets at this airport. Departure announcements are not made over the public address system but there are many screens displaying this information for passengers to use. There biometric passport reading machines for passengers whose flights are using the B and C gates. The staff here are very helpful.

On arrival at this airport one has to walk long distances there is assistance for passengers that require it. It took nearly ten minutes for passengers on my flight to disembark the aircraft because of the time taken for the air bridge to attach to the front door of the aircraft. On my arrival the machines which can read biometric EU passports were not in use the Customs desks were manned by one person which made leaving the airport slower.

This airport can be busy during the summer season. For departing passengers it is a very large airport with long distances to walk although there is assistance available for passengers who require it. Passengers need to present their boarding passes at the start of the security area they are then told by a member of staff which lane to use. There are trays for passengers to place jackets, hand luggage, mobile phones, tablets/laptop computers, belts etc. If there are problems in the security check the staff do not have a good command of English to resolve this. After the security check there are tables for passengers to place items back into their hand luggage. To proceed to the departure area passengers walk through a retail outlet. There are many food and retail outlets at this airport. There are vending machines as well. Passengers need to be aware no announcements are made over the public address system for departure information instead they need to the many screens At the entrance to the C gates there are machines which can read biometric EU passports staff tell passengers how to use the machines. There are also desks which are manned. It will be interesting to see how the refurbishment work taking place will look once complete . Overall I enjoy using this airport.

Taxi from Torremolinos to airport ?17:50 and no problem but I think you can get there by train. No problems at security so sailed through. Lots of shops landside and Airside. As with most airport shops the food is overpriced. Free WiFi is good and held up ok.

Massively expanded airport since I was last there, nearly 20 years ago! Built for great capacity and quiet and smooth off-peak, when I used it. Efficient staff, although I was told my flight was an hour late at check-in, when it wasn't. Very expensive food, however. Beware!

Passengers have to walk long distances at this airport however there are assistance is available for passengers. During the summer season this airport gets busy. On arrival there are biometric readers available as well as a maned desk s this enables passengers to clear customs reasonably quickly. It will be interesting with the renovation work due to take place how things change.

This is a large airport and passengers have to walk long distances. During the summer season this airport is very busy. There are many security lanes for departing passengers to places jackets, bags, laptops, tablets etc into plastic trays. Once passengers clear security they find themselves in one of shops. There are many shops, food outlets and vending machines. Departures are not announced over the public address system passengers need to look at the many screens. At the entrance of the C gates passengers have to show their passports. The C gates are used for departures to the UK.

Malaga is a nice airport. When we were there, we were renting a car so we didn't have any problems with getting off or back to the airport. The services were fine, the only thing I disliked was complicated access to the airport's WiFi.

Its a long walk from when you leave the aircraft to exiting to the airport. There are bio-metric passport readers and staffed customs desks which enable the queues move quickly.

Made it through customs relatively quickly they now have bio metric passport machines that are regular use as well as staffed Customs desks which helps to make queues move quickly. Be aware there it is a long walk for passengers from when they leave the aircraft at the gates to the time they leave the airport.

Arriving at the airport isn't the easiest due to the roadsigns used for Spanish roads. Check-in began only 2 hours before the flight which wasn't ideal when they were having to issue tickets on the desk taking much longer than normal. Security was busy as would be expected during the summer season but didn't take too long (5-10 minutes). The facilities are very good at Malaga with plenty of shops and restaurants lanside and airside. Free wifi is provided with some advertising provided to allow you to login.

Flight departed from terminal 3, very modern facilities, easy WiFi access, good variety of cafes (even given it was 6 AM).
Only problem was the security check, not very well organised.

I have flown to and from this airport many times. In the popular summer season it gets very busy. On my last departure last September it took over half an hour to clear security and they needed to open the other security lanes they had done the previous year. Once you clear security you end up in a tax free sales shop you need to walk through this to get to the lounge. Please note there are announcements made about departures however there many departure boards. This a large airport where one needs to walk long distances. There is good selection of shops its cheaper to buy a drink from the vending machines than the shops.

Three generations of airport built next to each other. Easy to get to by all forms of transport and, for the most part, both impressive and spacious. The gates leave a little to be desired seating- and space-wise.

The terminal building was brand new, when I was there, and the WiFi, and facilities were OK. The biggest problem is the design. You have to walk 15 minutes to your point of interest, and there are no signs.

Very close to the city center. Check in and security is fast. But the B gates are very far away from security. You have to walk a lot. There are cafes, restaurants, souvenir shops. Nice airport bot it's complicated.
Also some baggage claim belts are very far away.

Malaga is too spread out and busy. Shops are poor, security is too open and always makes me feel vulnerable. Wifi non existent! Drinks are really really expensive.

Getting to and from Malaga to the airport is very easy (e.g. Metro, Bus, Taxi). I used the Metro less than 2? per trip.
Star Alliaance offers premium check-in but there is no fast track available. Airport is not too big. Overall I like this airport.

The airport in Malaga is a nice airport to fly into or out of. There is nothing special about it, but it does the trick so there is also nothing to complain about. I wouldn't mind connecting or arriving at this airport.

Used train to airport,very good apart from the long walk to the station! The airport is expensive, but there is a good range of commodities, particularly local goods. However the prices are much more expensive at the airport than in the local shops

Best airport for fast travels, like to Malaga-Brussels thats the best way to relax in Flight room. The only case is the products at the shop are very expensive to the ppl who live at Europa, but anyway good airport.

Security stopped us at 04:00, saying we were not allowed to fly alone. We are both 14 and there were no problems with Norwegian or CPH. When we came home to CPH i went on Malagas website and it says you can fly alone when you are 12. 0 stars.

I remember going to Burger King in T1 and that the service was painfully slow, well it still is in the new BK in T3. When your intention is to catch a flight the last place you want to be is a the BK queue.
