Same terminal transfers are a breeze. This side of 2F (gate 59) was a lot more relaxed with the restaurant tunnel than the other side

This is a review of departure from terminal 3. Access to terminal 3 isn't easy. The closest you can get is to Roissypole if you come by tube (RER) from Paris, which is 10 minutes walking distance from terminal 3. In my case it was worse since I came be coach due to strikes and it dropped me terminal 1. The journey from terminal 1 to terminal 3 took me 15 minutes running all over the place. So better assume 20 minutes. Security departure wasn't clearly marked inside the terminal despite being it a very small one. Security took me 15 minutes to finish. Police border checks was very quick since I was the only one. On the airside part there isn't much to do. Usual boutiques and I think a couple of food places. Boarding is always done by bus in terminal 3 which is a little bit painful.

Terminal 1, good access, nice retro feeling, not much choice in terms of fast food, security check at each finger very bad design (though good for aircraft turnarounds).

Love the airport. For architecture lovers it is a delight of a design. The pedestrian flow is excellent, and if you seem lost there are many employees that can be of assistance.

Arrived to terminal 3. I used to hate this terminal mainly due to lengthy immigration process at arrival. But now they put automatic gates which make this part much more smooth. The main drawback of this terminal is that public transportation aren't close and you need to walk almost 10 minutes to reach Central station close to terminal 1. Walking is done outside which, in winter, can be quite cold.

Departing terminal 2D.
Terminal is small so moving inside of it is quick. Security is quite efficient and immigration process is very quick. You don't have a lot of food choices especially once you have crossed immigration (which is way after you crossed security). Toilets are clean. Terminal isn't noisy.
Reaching the airport is somehow easy but disappointing for a big city like Paris. The best option is to take RER B from Chatelet or Gare du Nord. If you're lucky you will have the one that doesn't stop at all between Gare du Nord and the airport. Otherwise you'll stop in some of the suburban towns North of Paris which will increase your journey's time.

Arrival to terminal 2D. Exiting the terminal is quite quick since it's a very small one. Crossing immigration took some time since no automatic gates and only two agents. No distinction between European and non European passports. Due to public transportation strike in Paris I had to take the private bus company called le bus direct which is quite expensive. Need to change terminal and need to wait quite long before bus arrived.

Departing from terminal 2E. Security check was a bit long. Food providers not as numerous as one would expect from the main terminal of Air France. Terminal is very quiet.

I remember the flight attendants for American Airlines were very engaging especially since they had never seen a passport like mine before. They asked me about the symbolism of the coat of arms which featured an image of two men.For them this was quite unusual.

Starting to look tired, but the main criticism is the sheer lack of food outlets in Terminal 2K. The satellite terminal 2G is really basic and looks unfinished

Confusing as always. Annoying that you have to clear security again, even if transferring. I try to avoid CDG when possible. Especially the signage and way finding are terrible. Automatic passport gates are usually out of order. Staff is not particularly friendly.

Very fast transfer arriving from a intercontinental flight connecting to a European flight. Smooth processing at passing Schengen passport control by using Parafe automated check. Walk from 2E-K to 2F took about 15 mins.

Consistently the worst airport in the world. To make my connection, I had to go through security twice: first they check you as you go to the transfer bus and then it turns out that the only way to enter the Schengen area at 2D is by going through the check-in area. Terrible food - only croissants or super-expensive 'healthy' options.

This is such a large airport. I would not like to have a short connection here. I used the Air France lounge in 2F and was severely disappointed. There weren't many food options (nothing hot), and the coffee machine only half fills the cups. The food was replenished quickly, but as I said, there's a limited choice.
In terms of third-party catering, there are a few places but most seem to offer baguettes and salads. After travelling for 14 hours, I wanted more than just a baguette or a slice of quiche.

For international trips (out of EU), I recommend to be minimun 3 hour before. The airport is huge and theres a lot o people on the lines to passport check and then to the security control.

The lay-out of this airport is absolutely inefficient. I arrived from Oslo in the left half of Terminal 2F, where we were led to the other half of Terminal 2F to be processed through immigration. Oslo and Paris are both within Schengen, so I was surprised I had to show my passport again. The staff was rude and dismissive. Then I had to walk all the way back to the other half of Terminal 2F again. On the way to Oslo a few days earlier, this was just a matter of clearing a flight of stairs.

Flight from CDG 2F.
Access is convenient from Paris center with Roissybus (from Opera) and alternatively by RER B or taxi.
Security check is fine but they have added an additional check on cabin luggage weight and size for passengers who checked in online (instead of doing it at the gate), and since there?s only one row for this check, it creates a bottleneck.
Terminal 2F has two piers, one on the left coming out from security check and one on the right (they used to be called F1 and F2). The one on the right has many more restaurants, the one on the left only snack bars and sandwich outlets.
The big issue with terminal 2F is that the area near the gates is too small for people to queue and there are not enough seats.

I have been against any transit via airport for years but i must admit that it has really improved a lot. It is much brighter than ever, clear to navigate from each terminal, easy, clean and smell good. There is a lot of shop inside and price are acceptable. Wifi is working well with no time limit. Spotting thru windows is not easy but manageable.

Terminal 1 at CDG is an absolutely joke. Cramped spaces that can't efficiently cope with the number of passengers they are trying to process on an early Sunday afternoon. Once cleared through security, there is only one place to buy a sandwich. No restaurants or bars etc.

Only few restaurants in 2F
Only AF lounge in 2F
Had to go to L to find a Priority Pas lounge.
The Priority Pas lounge with a poor selection of food.
Was not initially not allowed to go back from 2F to L , but was allowed after finding a supervisor.
It seems the staff is poorly trainde and arrogant on top!

No restaurants in the terminal 2E except three small cafes with some fastfood.
The Priority Pass lounge was located so far, so you have to take the train and spend approximately 25 min to reach it. Moreover, when you're back, you have to pass the security control again that makes the visit to the lounge almost impossible.
Also getting the airport by RER is a kind of challenge, all the announcements are in French, the public transport system is very complicated and lacks navigation much. Even of you find a proper line (B), there're two different routes on the same line, so you might easily get the wrong train.

Long walk and internal transit train required between arriving at terminal 2E and getting to the L gates which are on a satellite area away from the main terminal. Security is done after passport control and for the L gates the security is done in the satellite area after you?ve been on the transit train, which I did find a bit odd...

Terminal 2G (HOP !) has unsettling late gate announcements and very limited seating at gate. Two years ago I nearly missed my flight because of a frozen flight display screen, having to leave my beer behind and running to the gate.

A stupidly complicated airport to navigate. Because of their very poor signalisation for transit passengers, we almost missed our connecting flight even though we had 70 minutes.
CDG has constantly proven to be the worst airport in Europe.

Terminal 2A at CDG in itself is ok for the most part, though as in the rest of CDG the experience is different every time you go there. Parking is fine, but not easy to access (for Terminal 2A), the staff can be nice (I had a really nice person that time at check-in), but can sometimes be very rude. Terminal 2A had a lot of expensive stores from various French fashion brands (even though it is more expensive than anywhere else). Food options are ok.

Abysmal airport to use for connecting flights. Ridiculous queues at security even in the Sky Priority line. Convoluted route on a bus to the plane.
Overall an awful experience and to be avoided at all costs. To whoever runs CDG take a trip to Schiphol and see how it's done.
Avoid at all costs.

My flight was in the Terminal 1 of Paris CDG airport. The oldest part of the airport. Indeed, you can feel that it's not anymore in the present. The check-in was great since there was much people. The security was great too. But the waiting part wasn't great for an international airport. The duty free was very small, lot's of people were waiting for flights and there isn't much place to seat. Moreover, if you have the back luck and you arrive during a boarding process you can barely walk.

Good airport but it depends what terminal you are in. I've been in some terminals that are all luxury and others that are very budget airline looking. Travelling too the airport is easy with RER and the airport itself looks pretty good. Runs fairly smooth and well signed.
