Customs line for Transborder at Terminal 1 is terrible. It is not uncommon to wait for over 2 hours in line for security and customs. Plan to arrive at the airport at least 3.5 hours before your flight.

Pearson has the slowest baggage claim system on the planet and they typically put all of the baggage on one carousel. Best to not check luggage when flying here.

Bus gate was surprisingly quicker to get to immigration than parking at the main terminal. Immigration machines took multiple goes and really didn't work that well.

US Border preclerance took a significant amount of time to get through, ended up delaying our flight by about an hour. Clean and well lit terminal. Lacks any large seating areas not assosiated to any gates.

I have a good story to tell about this airport, however there isn?t space here, but if you lost some passports in check-in and only notice they were missing when yoy were at boarding area, because the airport is very big.

I believe the most passengers want in travel is comfort, be able to communicate or entertain themselves while waiting for their next flight and to purchase items and not be ripped off. For example, bottled water is very expensive considering what the outside the airport price is. Often at Toronto, there is often an escalator or moving sidewalk not working...every time I am there, about 2 times per month, so 4 times using the facility, one departing and one arriving. The WiFi is very very poor. We have coupons to use the Plaza Premium lounge at Pearson. For this flight departure, there were no seats, very slow wifi connection, and the food, poor selections and warm temperature for what they did serve. Come on Toronto Pearson, step it up a little!

I'll also review the airport for departures after flying home, but in terms of arrivals passport control was nice and efficient, a welcome surprise. Baggage reclaim could have done with being quicker, and signage for public buses was really not done well

Waited for over an hour for luggage re-check on an international flight. US Immigration has no clear lines where you need to wait. No airport map or sign on where the lounge is. Free WiFi. Overall, the experience could be greatly improved.

Arrival was terrible. All the airport workers seemed irritable, apathetic, and overworked. I had a little over an hour between flights but, because my checked bag couldn't make it through customs quickly enough, I had to miss my connection!I ended up having to stay overnight because the only flight to New Orleans was the evening the NEXT DAY! At least the hotel was nice. My experience the next day was the opposite. All the airport workers I encountered were very pleasant and helpful. I supposed it could have to do with still being early in the day. But I still did not really leave feeling that the baggage handlers of this airport seem well organized or well-manned. There were a lot of people waiting in the same area as me, waiting to hear the fate of their luggage from international flights. And the gentleman behind the counter trying to get in touch by walkie talkie had great difficulty getting someone to respond. Could be a one-off, or it might be an area that needs attention.

There are way too many announcements being made in the terminal. It is almost as bad as Chicago O'Hare's nonstop useless announcements, Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Only two elevators for too many people at lounge is really poor. Not even stairs available. It took 15 min to leave Lounge.

Most of the airport is what you expect from a large hub but gates after customs for flights to US are small and cramped. It looked like a parking garage under the terminal.

US immigration was extremely slow. There were probably close to 100 passengers filing into 2 immigration agents. I'm a US citizen and have gone through US immigration a number of times. I understand that the immigration officials are doing their job, I assume as they were trained, but I have never dealt with such unpleasant, miserable people in my life. The process is slow, and the employees are not pleasant at all. I have traveled throughout the world and have never gone through such a slow, inefficient immigration process as that of the US.

Pearson Airport has everything, except for wifi that works. Sometimes I have been seated on the aircraft and can still get wifi, depending on the gate...but very very slow and often disconnects in the terminal building.

Only used YYZ as a transfer airport flying in from CDG on my trip to LAX. Didn't have time for any lounges since I needed time to go through immigration (pre-clearance for US).
The US-terminal was not much to cheer about. Boring interior and not that many stores and food venues.

As usual, an escalator or moving sidewalk is not working. This time it was the escalator into the terminal building from the value lot parking lot. Also the moving sidewalk in the domestic wing was not working. The WiFi is incredibly poor in most if not all areas of the airport.

Got Toronto around 8 in the evening, had to walk quite a while to get to immigration. The immigration officer was nice and polite and every thing went along well until we got to the baggage. Bags took about 20 minutes to half hour to come and bags from other flight began to come also. Anyway it was smooth sailing after this.

Call this airport Toronto hell hole Intl.! Airport is run like a bootcamp! Rude airport staff turns airport check-in, pre-clearance immigration and security into a nightmare. You get barked at, constantly harassed by boarding pass scanners, explosive partical swappers and staff that rat-races you through endless, overcrowded lines like cattle. This is a really ,really sad place that you can't wait to get out soon enough!

Nice, clean and big airport. The Wifi didn't work very well, but staff at the airport was really nice and they did their work very well and fast except for immigration control, where we had been for more then 1 and half hour. But overall really nice airport.

Consistently the slowest baggage return in the world! I made it through immigration quickly 10 minutes but had to wait nearly 40 minutes for my bags. I picked up my bags nearly one hour after my plane hit the gate. This has happened every flight I've taken in to Toronto. Granted, that's only three times, but I still see a pattern.

Our flight into Toronto was delayed(Air Canada), and our other flight(United) left without us. We had to spend the night while ACA and UAL decided whose responsibility our flight was.

I didn't dislike Toronto-Pearson, but I found it to be one of the more confusing airports I've ever been in. After getting of my CRJ-200 from Detroit, I had to walk a considerable distance up and down escalators following signs for Arrivals. At some points, I thought I had somehow missed customs/border. Luckily, they have many people to help guide. I got to the customs, which was very quick, and then wasn't sure whether I needed to grab my bag. The website for the airport says different than what was actually done. I didn't need to grab bag, though it wasn't very clear. I then had to recheck through security to the domestic area, which did take about 10-15 minutes.

The UP train from Union Station was good. Lots of queues and not many agents working. There is no free wifi and there was not a lot of choice for food.

One of the better airports I've been to in a long while. The airport is easily accessible from downtown Toronto via the UP train. The airport keeps the snow cleared so that there were almost no delays.

Contrary to other comments earlier made by others, the airport now has an express train to the downtown core or the public transit still operates for one price via the Kipling subway station. And now the trolleys are free. Many improved food and beverage facilities as well.

Rather complicated airport to me. The express downtown is very comfty but extremely expensive. In case you stay or do your business downtown I would always suggest to use Billy bishop(downtown airport). It?s a little more expensive but super close.

Tres bon aeroport rien a dire tout est bien et optimise peut-etre juste le manque de shop dans la gare d'arrivee mais si non tout est rapide.
Les bagages arrives en moins de 20 minutes et en quelques pas on est dehors de l'aeroport ou taxi et transports publique vous attendent.

Tres facile de se retrouver dans l'aeroport bien qu'il faille le traverser de tout son long pour arriver aux 1ere portes dembarquement. Je n'ai pas eu beaucoup a attendre mais c'est parce que je suis arrive au bon moment aux guichets de westjet. Wifi moyen car vers ma porte d embarquement j'en avait pas mais c'est un detail.
Le seul vraiment point negatif pour moi c'est que pour le prix de billet ( environ 500 francs Suisse) pouvoir prendre un baguage en soute sans avoir a payer 30 dollars ne serait pas un luxe.

Fairly spaced out, so make sure you know which area to check in or you'll be walking a long way.
Security processing is fairly quick, even if there is a long cattle line. Extra security seems to show up to help expedite passengers. Didn't have to remove shoes like some airports, but I always see a couple of security folk just standing there watching the passengers so they may use body language techniques and just pay closer attention to passengers that would warrant closer inspection.

Checking in for our AA flight would have been seamless, but the flight was operated by its partner, WestJet, and we were told to checkin at the WestJet counter. Most of the automated checkin machines weren't working so we waited in a massive line with about two agents working. Regardless what terminal you use at Pearson, if you're traveling to the U.S., leave a lot of time to get through check-in, customs/immigration and security. Lines, lines and more lines. That's what you can expect!!

During the security check, they only decided to open one aisle. As a result the line lasted 30+ mins. After that I had to run to the gate and get straight to the flight and I couldn't experience any of the retail, restaurants and duty free.

The wifi's free and you can eat for cheap at Tim Horton's, and if you have a lounge pass, the food and beverage selection is pretty decent.
Getting to Pearson sucks. If you use public transportation, get ready for a second-class experience and having to walk far to the bus stop...and then waiting too long in the unsheltered outside (re: cold and windy). If you're driving, things are marginally better.

WiFi was malfunctionning, and the light in the terminal would come off every 30 minutes without explanation. Duty Free was limited and expensive. and it was difficult to move around the terminal due to the lack of space and the crowd.

PIA airline is good airline in the world at the time of take off pilot announced about all the intersections about flying during travel.when plane take off and reached 10000 hight pilot announced about hight and weather again and again crew staff is very good and guide all about flying and good looking i like it.
