Just a sandwich and small bottle of water for ~4h flight from Moscow to Malta? It's about Air Malta! I don't think it would be cost a lot for the airline to provide a better food option on their flights. The rest was ok.

The seats are cramped , No in-flight entertainment food was rubbish but the crew was very nice, very good pilots.

I had to specifically ask for a window seat at check-in. On the way back I didn't ask for it (just to see what would happen) and ended up by the aisle. They never asked me where I wanted to sit.
That's probably common enough these days...
