China Eastern is a fairly simple operation, but the flights are pleasant for all that. The crew is courteous. The snacks are interesting. The aircraft are clean and comfortable.

I flew with China Eastern Airlines for the 2nd time and I have to say it was a nice experience (as compared to my experience with Chinese airlines back in 2009). Clean inside of the plane. Nice flight crew. No turbulences and smooth landing. On time. So I have to give them 5*

The cabin is bright and clean. All crew attendants are very nice and happy to help. Movies in IFE are last updated.

Not so good servise for short route. One hour delayed (as usual in China) and only small bottle of water, no food.

Cell phone is not allowed to be used during the whole flight. Moreover no AVOD is equipped in all A320 series. The in flight entertainment is poor.

Buona compagnia anche se la sensazione in volo e di un airbus tipo carro bestiame. I servizi di intrattenimento sono dedicati prevalentemente alla popolazione asiatica nulla in lingua italiana.

China Eastern isn't a bad airline, but there is just so much to do to improve. Onboard meals were fine, however Chinese regulations forbid you to use any electronic device, which could be used to transmit through the entire flight. Due to this ban, you rely solely on sleeping or their in-flight entertainment, which basically gives you a very small selection of films to watch. While watching a movie a hour or two before landing, you will be interrupted by them with a movie of tai chi, which you are not able to cancel out and are forced to watch.

The aircraft was very good and I felt there was a good amount of space between the seats (I am 63'). Sadly most of the staff did not speak English and the food was shocking, that said it was a smooth, fast, functional flight.

Cell phone is not allowed to be used during the whole flight. The small TV programme is not attractive. However in flight service such as catering is good and the toilet is really clean.

777-300 was new and clean. Flight delayed 90 minutes which is quite normal in China. Crew polite and professional. In-flight services very poor - for over 2:20 hrs flight only water/juice to drink and no option of purchasing even a snack. Day before on the same route with Air China I had a hot meal incl snacks, yogurt and more drinks to choose from. No wifi as you can't use your phone anyway across China during your flight.

One of the worst companies. The service is bad. The flight was canceled but after they made us check in and get through the passport control. No compensation and excuse. The flight was scheduled at 21:45 but we managed to leave at 17:45 the next day and the hotel was provided only at 3 am.

A passenger was smoking multiple times in one of the lavatories. The crew could not locate the passenger and it made me ill

The biggest in flight meal I have ever had, service was prompt and polite - an enjoyable flight! This was despite no in flight entertainment to speak of!

Terrible MU ground staff customer services in case of flight delay, re-booking of connecting flight etc. Hotel for overnight stay at PVG after missed flight was far away from airport and so-so.

It is the worst airline I've flown amongst 100. Poor service, horrendous seating configuration, old and crowded. Food is inedible.
