Tegel Airport is the best, one of my favourite places for sure. Every flight gets its own check-in, security, and secure baggage claim. No other international airport allows you to board (and get home) so quickly and free of hassle. May it stay with us for as long as possible.

Ich mag Tegel. Ich wei?, der Flughafen ist alles andere als modern und hat seine Kapazitat schon langst uberschritten. Trotzdem fliege ich gerne von/nach Tegel. Beim Anflug hat man bei richtigem Sitzplatz einen wundervollen Ausblick auf die Stadt und fuhlt sich gleich wieder zu Hause. Au?erdem liebe ich das Retro-Feeling mit den alten Anzeigetafeln im Hauptterminal und in welchem gro?en Flughafen dieser Welt ist alles so ubersichtlich und mit so kurzen Fu?wegen zu erreichen? Ich werde Tegel schon ein wenig vermissen.

I arrived at Tegel airport by flight, after deboarding, I did not expect to see Passport Control so soon after leaving Air Bridge with 5ish footsteps! After Passport Control, there is baggage reclaim next to Passport Control with 3 footsteps required! Shortest time and distance ever from parked aircraft to landside area!

When I arrived at Tegel airport to check in my flight, I went through security check and passport control and I was already in boarding gate and lounge area with no walking required! Shame about limited Duty Free products though!

Shame there is no train or metro/underground service to and from Tegel airport, only airport express bus is available but I rather prefer train though!

Tegel is, as I say always, too small. Food and drinks are more expensive as at other airports. The visitor deck is very good, especially for Spotters. The Sky Conference Lounge, which is for free, is very clean, quite and comfy. For long waiting times its a great place to relax

The Airport with the shortest ways, near to my home. I know no better for me. Simply excellent !

Okay, a little bit overloaded in the moment. But how will you do, if you should handle a triple of your normal capacity, and this over years?

Arrived on time, fast exit and everything was smooth. To move inside the main terminal A is easy and quick. Connected perfectly with the TXL bus line.

Tegel is a nice and tiny but old airport. Getting through Security wasn't a problem but really fast! That's really cool, I will definitely fly again from and to Tegel.

Best airport in Berlin. Easy and fast to reach. Small. And some gates have security directly at the gate, so no queue with people that are not on your flight.

If you're departing from Terminal D, you probably want to check in and head back to Terminal A (next door), since there's almost nothing to do in Terminal D, and everything in Terminal A is before security.

TXL is a great Airport!
I really hope the German government changes its mind and will keep TXL open!

However, the baggage handlers need more training.

However, their baggage handler?s need more training. Why paying for upper class tickets if baggage handler don?t do their job and deliver priority last?

I love this airport so much as arriving is so easy! Only annoying thing is no direct access to U or S Bahn. Will be a shame when (if!) it closes as SXF is awful and not expecting much better from the new one.

Airport close to the city centre, itself being an airport of very short ways, very efficient. Arriving, check-in, boarding - all possible within minutes. For an airport this size comparable only to London City and very similar to Cologne/Bonn.

Very convenient airport with great access to the city centre. Walking time between check in counters and flight gates is just a few seconds. But the airport is old, there are not many restaurants or places for coffee and because Berlin has a very big growth in terms of passengers using its airports, TXL is almost always very crowded.

Not the nicest looking airport but there are good facilities and the bus to Berlin is frequent, easy to use and quick, due to Tegel's excellent distance to Berlin...

This airport looks like low cost airlines airport. I have boarded a long haul flight on foot from terminal. A very organized airport in case of very short connection. Everything has gone smoothly and there was no security check on transfer.

Tegel is Tegel... This time we waited very long for our bags even if the aircraft stood 15 m from the room where we were supposed to collect the baggage. The airport is very easily approachable with public transport

A pretty old airport but still efficient ! Tegel does not look like today's modern airports : small boarding gate aera, small corridors but very comfortable as you don't need to walk a lot !

Was soll man sagen zum meinem hei?geliebten Westberliner Flughafen Tegel, dem Tor zur freien Welt bis 1989? Der Innenring ist noch ertraglich und dank Gate naher Parkplatze ok. Was allerdings Air Berlin sich im Terminal C (eigentlich Wellblechhutte) leistet spottet schon jeder Beschreibung. Neben dem rekordverdachtigen unfreundlichen Personal, der nicht so irre guten Klimaanlage und einem exklusiven Wartebereich von AB in dem an jedem!!! Freitag der Getrankeautomat defekt ist, erinnert das Terminal eher an eine Wellblechhutte. Wer allerdings den kurzesten Weg in der West Berliner City sucht ist mit TXL bestens beraten.

TXL is a shame, especially the low-cost terminal. Crowds everywhere, expensive food and very limited selection, very basic terminal facilities. Clearly waiting for shutdown and move to BER, but for how long?

Traffic jam to the airport. The airport itself is of older design, that was not assuming long security checks. As a result you will get stuck in small waiting spaces. Baggage claim is right at the gate, do not make the mistake to exit the gate area assuming there is typical baggage claim area.

It was tiny, crow, confusing (only 3 gates per security control...) with long queues and just one cafeteria per subdivision. Although it's true it has very interesting architecture, in all its 70s quirkiness.

Historically one of the most famous airports in the world and especially Western Berliners own a lot to this place. Nevertheless it is time that new Schonefeld airport opens. Tegel is becoming more and more one big overcrowded chaos with capacity limits reached long time ago

Tegel ist zu klein und eng.
Uberall stehen Schlangen von Menschen durch die man sich durchquetschen muss.

Wenn man es eilig hat kann dies die Laune massiv senken.

Ansich war das Konzept einmal sehr gut.

Was naturluch schon immer schlecht war, ist seine Anbindung nur mit dem Bus.

Horrible little airport but still better than Schonefeld. Best yet if you arrive with legacy carrier on small aircraft and arrive at A gates, worst if you end up on Easyjet/Ryan at C terminal.

Crowded and under-dimensioned. Berlin is a very nice city and one of my favorite European capital cities. Just a pity that the first impression when arriving is often TXL which looks old, often very crowded, with outdated facilities. Transportation needs to get on a bus (often crowded also) before reaching a S-Bahn station... I know that the plan is to have a top modern airport on the East side of Berlin (Schonefeld I guess), that this project has been seriously delayed, but explains that few investments have been done at TXL. But in the mean time, Tegel is not a good image of this very nice city.

Wer ist eigentlich auf die famose Idee gekommen den Terminal C zu bauen. Es konnen nur Ossis im Management gewesen sein. Terminal C ist grausam und ist beschamend fur jedes dritte Welt Land. In Kombination mit dem schlechtesten Security Staff aller Zeiten und Landern ist TC ein Albtraum!!!!

Seriously outdated airport, nothing to do after the check-in is made. Only one small coffee place and tiny shop with couple of perfumes and alcohol. WiFi was available for charge but the fee was reasonable and WiFi quality was very good.

Non-Schengen Gebaude Ankunfte werden gerade durch hochstens vier Mitarbeiter der Bundespolizei kontrolliert. Diese befindet sich direkt am Ende der Fluggastbrucke, sodass sich die Schlange fast zur Flugzeugtur zuruck staut und nicht angenehm ist. (Geschuldet der Architektur des Flughafens)

Lotnisko nie za duze. W srodku dosc ciasno, waskie przejscia, malo miejsca w pomieszczeniach do boardingu.
Dojazd dosc kiepski poza TXL busem czy taxi.
Brak darmowego WiFi. Mialem bezposrednie porownanie z Domodiedovo i Tegel przy nim wyglada bardzo slabo.
Na plus - sporo gniazdek gdzie mozna podladowac telefon.

I expected much more from an airport situated in the capital city. Boring and really old. I used Tegel as an transport between two european cities. When we passed security check, we were trapped in a place with one shop and one caffee for 2 hours. Thank God they had wifi!

Check in service queue was reaching nearly out of the terminal (Ckeck-In B). and boarding a A333 via bus isnt so much fun and caused delay.

There are 3 (if I correctly remember) terminals. Airport staff DO NOT help you to find yours, most of them don't speak English at all! I had to lose about 20 minutes walking from one building to another with my baggage before I found my terminal. So, if you fly from this airport at the first time, it might make sense to check the number of terminal in your ticket (it was not specified in mine) and a map or scheme of airport.

The terminal was like a place of detention. Barbed wire is on the roof, grills and bulletproff glasses are everywhere, security officers were watched my belongings and me very meticulously.

Futhermore, most of staff don't speak English.

Wi-Fi didn't work. I don't remember the reason (if it was WPA or just no network at all) but I couldn't connect.

It was very poor assortment in Duty Free. No wine, no brandy, no cosmetics. There were only beer and sparkling wine.

This airport is most rough and unfriendly I visited ever. I will never fly from Tegel again.

If you have a connection at the airport and you have to change the aircraft, plan enough time because you need to go through security again...and if you need to change the terminal you need to go outside and walk there. I don't recommend this airport.

It is like a low cost airport than a standard one. BVA or LTN seem to be very similar ones. Getting to a long haul flight on was on foot! There was no security check on transfer flights. As it was a very short connection I did not have a chance to check airport facilities and stores offer.

Getting to the airport was where easy. I took the TXL bus from Brandenburger Tor. The bus was preatty full of passengers because this bus was delayed by 8 minutes. But the good part of the delay meant that i wouldn't have to pay for a ticket. When i arrived my first goal was getting something to eat. I ate Burger King but there where few seats available so i had to stand and ate my food. The Check-in was very good. there were a lot of desks open so i had to maximum wait 5 minutes. But the security check was the worst one a famous airport i've seen. Long row of stressed people, but the personal was kind and helpful so many thank to the personal at Tegel. The Boarding worked fine and we departured in time.

Busy, old airport, signs are not clear. Traffic queues outside. If not in the main terminal you have to walk outside to reach desirable building. 1 hour of free wi-fi makes this more easily tolerable.
