I have been through Hammad International many times and definitely one of the most extravagant airports currently. This also makes it a stand out. It is a large airport so be prepared for some lengthy walking or travellating on the moving walkways, or commuting using the automated train from gate area to gate area. Great range of shops, amenities, lounges etc and attention to detail. Each public toilet block in the airport for example has its own usher, ready to help show you to a cubicle and offer hand towel etc. The only down sides for me can be the transit process if you are connecting, it can get very very busy as they make you do a full security check again. Also the WiFi is not the best and can cut in and out and make you sign back in regularly. Aside from that, hard to fault.

All was fine, it was the second Time that
I flew with Qatar and this time I found it excellent. The staff was very polite. Last time it wasn't so good like this time. Now the staff makes fun with my child. Also the new airport is fantastic, seems like one of the best in the world.

The airport is amazing, everything perfect, except the fact that since it is so big, if you have to go from one side to the other for a transfer, you have to walk really a lot and have to add additional time only for that. There are moving walkways which can speed you up, but they don't cover the whole distance. I have seen a very modern self-driving train inside, but it was apparently not yet in service, as all the seats were still covered with plastic bags.

Getting around the airport is quite fast to get connections. Wifi works practically everywhere. The lounges are alright but were very full and the food wasn't very good as there were only snacks but no meals.

Public transport is not really an option to travel to or from Hamad International Airport, but Uber is widely available in Qatar are not expensive by Western standards. Airport staff force you to have a printed boarding pass before entering the security area and do not want to let you in until departure-3 hours, which was annoying and I had to speak to a supervisor before letting me in earlier to use the lounge. The Qatar Al Mourjan lounge does not have it's own WiFi and uses the public terminal WiFi which is slow. I was there at ~2am, most of the retail outlets were closed. The Al Mourjan lounge is open 24 hours, is very sizeable and had great food options. Quiet sleeping areas and showers were available with little wait

I came to the transit-terminal at 23:30 and had 2 hour connection time to next flight! I got hooked up to the Wi-Fi but it was bad with places to sit! I think its between 22-03 at night all the long-haul plane comes to Doha!

My experience in Doha airport was honestly great, as it offers a lot. I had a layover there for 3 hours from another flight. Getting in the airport was one of the most seamless parts of my journey, which was the security check. Security check was pretty speedy considering there were many people at the security check that time. I still had lots of time left before my flight. Terminal facilities were sufficient enough for me to enjoy my layover at the airport. I didn't eat much at the airport, not to say I didn't like the food services, but I wasn't really hungry. Overall, a pretty good layover and stay at the airport

Lot of people passing from the airport, but everything is working smoothly! Perfect facilities with airport personnel ready to assist you in anything. The only negative is to get to the airport. Although is near to the city the only option is to get a taxi, which is very cheap, so no problem. Recommended!!!

Wifi is probably the fastest I've encountered on an airport. Also all free, no sign up required and no limitation in data or time.
One annoying thing with the airport are those two huge screens that gets so bright if makes you go blind.

Very beautiful new terminal, great shopping facilities and a nice and small food court. The queues at the securty check for connection-flights was too long and the Wifi was very slow and sometimes not reachable, but overall quite nice!

The central area where the lounges and shops are has the air of a stylish and modern 5 star hotel. Transfer process smooth and efficient. But one has to walk all the way into the central area to transfer and then all the way out again - there aren't transfer areas along the concourse (as there are in Dubai). So it makes for a rather long walk if you happen to arrive/depart at the further gates. But a vast improvement on the old bus terminal that was the previous Doha airport! And a far more sophisticated ambience to Dubai.

Great airport, especially at the time we arrived, when there was little activity. Our layover lasted for 8 hours, so we slept in one of those little ?quiet rooms? dotted around the terminal. Most of the shops were closed though.

I just had a quick layover in Doha so I didn't get to see much of the new airport. Although what I did see looked very nice, clean and showed no signs of aging. A part of it was still under construction although it didn't really affect us in any way. I had a pleasant layover and would transfer through there again if I had the chance.

Doha is one of those airports where transfer passengers need to go through a security check. Which is a practice I don't understand as the passengers have already gone through a security check at the airport they're coming from. Otherwise a very modern airport with a shuttle train connecting different gate areas. One of the most expensive cups of coffee I've had at an airport, though.

The new airport represents a quantum leap forward from the old airport. Signage is easy to read and moving walkways assist in a expeditious arrival at a large modern airport.
There were no queues at immigration and baggage was swiftly delivered.
The very large car park is a bit of a maze necessitating it being manned with personnel directing you to the exit.

Check-in / bag drop in Doha is amazingly bad. It's a beautiful airport, but is not well organized. The lack of queues, issues with computerized systems, and sometimes lack of staff (relative to volume of passengers) definitely ruin an otherwise nice facility.

The staff at the security check were extremely rude.
The 'gentlemen' saw some coins in my bag and started shout very loudly for security then he pushed the tray with my laptop to me, he did not care if it is fragile or not. They were talking to me in a very impolite way, keep asking to 'show your coins, show your coins!' If I asked something he ignored me then since I showed them all the coins from my bag, they just sent me away without saying anything. I fould it really unproffessional.

When travelling with Qatar Airways and being sapphire with oneworld you don't get access to the Qatar Business lounge (3rd floor) but the lower grade partner airlines lounge on second floor. One of the worst lounges I have experienced so far. It is very crowded and the food is absolutely terrible.

Sunday I had my first transit in the New Hamad International airport. It was a very big disappointment. I was expecting something different after the big advertise ?Our new 5 starts home? it just a general airport after all. No 5 stars even not 3 stars. When I walked around I felt myself like I?m walking in Munich, Frankfurt or any other airport.
I was expecting the real Qatar Airways 5 stars service on the new airport as well but I need to be honest, I loved the Premium terminal at the old airport and the new lounges in the new airport is really downgraded to any airports lounges?..
Also when you walked around you had a feeling that the airport is not ready after all the delays.
I?m platinum customer at Qatar Airways and had a chance to go to the First Class Lounge. The lounge is small and crowded. I think these two words are explains everything what you don?t expect about a first class lounge.
However I need to state that Qatar Airways ground staff are very helpful and nice which helps to forget the all the issues with the new airport.
The airport recently opened and I hope the service will improve. I will not change the airline because of this because I still believe that Qatar Airways has the best service so far.
