Bloody awful airport, rude officials, long lines, out of control, no dignity to passengers whatsoever, it's so bad, it would stop me from going to bloody Vietnam ever again

I was asked to show my boarding pass as I exited the airport as I had check in baggage. After a sleepless night before it was a WTF moment, they were just checking I had the right bag it was bright red I growled rather loudly but other than that good.

POOR WIFI, the wifi at the terminal is very poor and slow conneted, the food inside the terminal is cost arm and leg but it depend, some food delicious some don't.

Immigration queue and security check took a really long time. That caused us to be almost late for our flight, despite arriving 2 hours before our departure time. The WiFi in the airport was also very slow, and there was not many food and retail services available.

The immigration queues were very long and immigration staff were a little rude. The baggage also took quite some time to arrive. Overall a bad experience.

I've always had a good experience here but be aware, if you are using a visa on arrival it will often take quite a while to get your visa processed before you can clear customs. Don't plan quick connecting flights around a visa on arrival. (I've seen distraught tourists more than once in the visa line.) I think this might be a general cultural artifact: Vietnamese folks seem generally unhurried, and it's best to follow the rules. Exceptions will be made only rarely if ever. Aircraft will be held waiting for passengers much more readily than passengers will be sped through any kind of check. Apart from that, it's a pleasant enough airport with decent, clean, modern facilities and courteous staff. Enjoy it. But allow plenty of time and breathe deep, as things in Vietnam generally move at a more leisurely pace . . . even when you're in a hurry.

Chaotic and incredible slow handling of the luggage. Could see the handlers every 10 suitcase or so were having a break, and it even took 25-30 minutes to get the luggage from the plane only 15 meters away!
Vietnamese people did not seem to care about lines either, damn annoying when people virtually climbing on you to get ahead.
On the plus side the airlines actually checked that you left the airport with your own suitcase!

The airport is almost in the city centre that you'll need 30mins to access. I took Vietnam airlines from and to this airport,one domestic and one intl flight. The arrival lounge is OK and the intl terminal is very modern. Unfortunately every time i flew from this airport the plane was parked really far away (no jetbridge available ?) and we had to take a bus etc.. that lead to many delays ... An other bad point is the checkin staff which is really slow .. no drop off counters as well

Terrible check-in experience. An attendant refused to serve my family citing the reason she was over time and had to go home, meanwhile no replacement! Moreover, we had to run ups and downs and rush to the gate due to sudden unannounced changes!

- Be attention to traffic jam outside of the airport in rushing hour.
- Vietjet's staffs @check-in desks are the worst. Bad attitude and try to find anyways to charge your hand overweight luggage.
- 15min queue Security check
- WCs broken

You can get wifi everywhere. But the one that airport provides is terriblely slow. The only wifi you can use without unpleasant experiance is the one that cafe nilly provides. Overall terminal facilities are bad. Shops have limited choices. Restaurants at the 3rd floor are very good.

A modern international terminal with all the usual mod cons. The only thing this airport really lacks is good access being as the only way to really get in and out is by taxi. New arrivals should head out of the terminal and walk left down the concourse about 100m where you will find the official taxi rank. Avoid the scam artists who wait directly outside the terminal exit.

Getting to the airport is very simple, it's next to the city, only 10min in cab ! Terminal facilities are inexistants... WiFi is not available. Only one retail service, selling alcohool and cigaretts... No lounge at the arrival area... Immigration are not pleasant at all, customs are okay. Baggage clail... My luggage has been lost... Airport agent speak english with difficulty, conversation are okay with Lost and Found Agent. Nethertheless, efficient airport.

Bagage tags stolen, long wait for luggage, travel by bus to the plane, extremely rude staff who speak no English at all. Also, bagage claim tags must be handed over at the exit. Overall a terrible airport and will try to avoid it al all times !

Very slow check in with Thai, ( new system ), very big queue for immigration and then again at security, all up pretty poor. Most people spending about one hour to get through all this.
Lounge is shared with othe airlines and is fairly indifferent

Saigon airport lounge for Thai airways is shared with many others and was quite crowded and generally not particularly nice atmosphere. The airport itself is OK. apart from queue at immigration. It is only short flight but they manage to serve a fairly indifferent meal in business class.

Domestic terminal is a joke. Dirty, old and coming apart at the edges. Business Class lounge had more staff in it having a cigarette break than there were paying customers!
