The new Islamabad International Airport is far better than the previous airport. The airport has better facilities and it is capable to handle more passengers and aircrafts.

Lovely Airport. Cooperative ground staff. Beautiful scenery and world class security. Enough room available for current air traffic. Getting to the airport from Rawalpindi and Islamabad is easy and any person new to the twin cities never gets lost owing to simplicity of the airport's situation and

Worst Airport I've ever flown to! It's small, cramped, stinks and the environment is difficult! I'm ashamed to call this the Capital airport of Pakistan!

Benazir Bhutto International Airport Islamabad (ISB/OPRN) Is by far the WORST Airport I have ever traveled to. Trust me never go to this airport because you will literally worry for the future of Pakistani Airports. Everything about it is awful! It has rude staff, horrible immigration, it's too crowded and smells. If you ever want to travel to Pakistan travel via Jinnah International Airport or Allama Iqbal International Airport.

Worst airport in the world, rude, lazy, incompetent staff. Entering the airport is a nightmare and will most likely make you late for check-in. Baggage carousels are ridiculous, there are 2, of which only 1 is functional. To make it worse, the illiterate baggage handlers can't tell the difference between Priority luggage and luggage for Economy passengers. Let's not even start with Terminal facilities... because there aren't any. The airport has absolutely no parking at all. There is a restaurant under construction in the middle of the parking lot which has caused a lot of inconvenience to everyone. There is scaffolding everywhere and building materials lying all over the place. There are fake porters who will rob you and most likely leave your luggage in a ditch where you'll never see it again. The security staff are only concerned with one thing, money. If you have it, you are allowed to carry bombs, grenades, heroine, pretty much everything you want onboard, but god forbid they spot someone with a family having difficulty with their luggage, they will stop them and ask them to open all of their personal items in front of everybody and then after half an hour of negotiating (for no reason), they will let them go, by the time they have reached the so called Business Class check-in counter, the Check-In staff will have gone for their fifteenth morning tea break and you will have to wait for another 20 minutes till they're back with their cold aching fingers reluctant to type your passport details in to the computer. Moving on to the world-class immigration counters, of which there are eight, but only four actually have immigration officers at them. There are dedicated lines for Overseas Pakistanis, Non-Pakistani Passport Holders, Pakistani Passport Holders, Women+Families and Old people. Since nobody can read, passengers stand wherever they find space, for themselves, and half of their village travelling with them. Then there's the award winning CIP Lounge, where the staff pay no attention to the boarding pass of the passengers and just let the economy passengers wander inside which results in there being no space at all for Business class passengers. As for connectivity, well the Wi-Fi is just.... crap. It's managed by PTCL, which as some of you may know, is the worst Internet Service Provider in Pakistan. Back to Terminal facilities, the airport has nothing to offer. There are still no airbridges, 2015 has just started and I can bet that Islamabad and Peshawar airport are the only places in the world that don't have airbridges and use ancient buses to transport people from the lounge to the apron where the plane is parked. Again, no special treatment for Business Class passengers, the staff just shoves everyone into two buses and doesn't care who goes where, as long as they get to the plane, which is parked miles away. Once you get to the plane, you can forget about all that crap that happened and have a relaxing journey because the airport that you're arriving at (whichever one it is), will probably give you a better experience compared to the one you just left.

Congested and small. Poor facilities. Gets very hot when loadshedding. Better suited to be a bus station.
