Really quick to get through check-in, security, and passport control, and a good offering of lounges. My only criticism was some of the immigration staff I encountered were quite rude and unfriendly.

A fine airport but staff coming to help with luggage feels intrusive since they're expecting you to tip, even if you're a foreigner with no small money to give.

The BA lounge here is pretty good. The choice of food for dinner was very good, and the range of drinks was also welcome.

The lounge has a large number of power sockets scattered around with both UK and European/US configurations supported.

There were no major issues with security or passport control, and so far, it has been a pretty reasonable trip.

Among the nicest and most modern international airports. Extensive duty free shopping opportunities and several good places to eat, many with excellent views of the runways.

I was very pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness, facilities and organisation at JNB.
On the downside, boarding for flight from JNB-SYD was a chaotic shambles

nice aeroport, indications are found easely, stuff is welcoming, flight are ponctuel, areport is clean and you have many fast food to eat in any moment

JNB is a pretty good airport, they have free carts which are rare at airports these days. The airport is quite large with international on one side and domestic on the other. Check in is not so bad. I paid for the BidVest lounge which was small and left a lot to be desired. Food consisted of crackers.

TV Screen on seat 42K was not working. It displayed white. Asked crew member to reset it, and no response. Crew member did not get back to me on the request. Asked another crew member, and still no response. By the time the cabin lights were dimmed, I put a blanket over the TV screen to close it up as the white from the screen was disturbing.

I think Johannesburg Airport is one of the best airports in Africa, because everything went so quick. I arrived three hours before my flight (because I thought in Africa everything is a bit slower), but the Check-in and the security check took me only 15 minutes and so I had a long time to look around. And finely also boarding was very quick!

Cheap yet good food. Not too busy. Big airport yet easy to get around. Easiest check in I have ever done. Flights on time and people nice. Modern and clean halls. Trolleys are easy to push around and taxi's are cheap getting to the airport

Johannesburg Airport is a great airport, there is always a new shop to tempt you in and there is a lot of South African Cultural artifacts on show to remind you where you are.

Very long line for security check and passport control on departure. Area is significantly undersized for the flow of passengers. No place to seat in Air France lounge.
