Although Tribhuvan Int. Airport is old, It is very good. friendlhy staff, brilliant duty free, comforable seating, and etc.... If you all are planning to visit Nepal, i suggest you all to use tribhuvan int arport as the gateway to nepal....

The airport is incredibly easy to get to -- just make sure you haggle the cab fare ahead of time and don't pay more than NPR500.

Once you arrive at the domestic terminal, don't be shocked to see something that resembles a cross between a prison and bus depot. It's not fancy

Only 2 opened passport counters for 250 foreigners, then only 1 security gate. I spent in ques mostly 1,5h. Old small airport, but they should care anyway!

- 1st entering the int. terminal
- 2nd security check
- 3rd entering plane

Oh my, this was truly extraordinary experience :) The airport is old and staff check passports and tickets sooo many times - they even made us go through three... hm... wagons placed right in front of the plane entrance. This was extremely strange :)

Its an adventure. The most dangerous Airport in the world and after landing and taking off there I know why. It has a lot of charme though and you gotta love it.
