There are numerous options one can take to get the airport. Door-to-door airport transfer, taxis, KLIA Ekspres/Transit, buses, and personal vehicles are some of these options. I person ally like to take KLIA Transit due to its cheap ticket and all the wonderful and worth seeing places it passes through before reaching the terminal.

KLIA?s main terminal building alone is equivalent to the size of 72 football fields put together. It is connected to the satellite terminal through an aerotrain that runs on a pre-defined 1.3 km track. The satellite terminal serves to the international flights.

The airport is equipped with modern facilities for passenger comfort. Wi-fi available and food services is available 24/7.

It's very convenient to get to the airport by the KL Express. For foreigners, it's easy to understand every instruction because every Malay word follows a English word, sometimes a Japanese word. When arrive at the airport, you can also buy a local SIM card to use internet, very friendly.

Awesome airport and it's probably the best one I've been so far. Though the KLIA2 terminal is meant for LCCs, it has very good facilities. The KLIA Express to get to the city is also very fast and efficient.

KLIA International Airport is probably the best airport I've flown to and from. The airport has all the facilitys expected and needed, such as free wifi, good bathrooms and a very good guiding system for travvelers to help them find out where to go. The Aerotrain from the mail terminal building to the arrival/departure hall is a fun way to go to the different buildings as well.
The staff at the airport are always friendly and helpful should the need for any assitance arise.

The brand new KLIA2 offers a different level of experience than the olden LCCT airport. While the shopping within airport concept is something to look out for, some basic operations of an airport still require improvement. For example, there's a lack of signage for oversized baggage collection. It is located in a quiet corner next to carousel 10 but unless one ventures out there, he'll miss this place completely. I myself couldn't figure out where to collect my little one's baby pram. Only after spending more than half an hour (until the last baggage appeared) at the carousel, I realised something was not right. It turned out all strollers are to be collected at the oversized baggage department. How am I supposed to know that at the first place? With this airport, be prepared to walk a long way between the immigration checkpoint and the boarding gates. During my first experience with this airport, I had to walk up to the very last gate to board the plane and that took me about 15 minutes to reach.

KLIA2 (the new LCC terminal) is impressively spacious, with good flow control and facilities. The terminal continues fluidly into a shopping mall, which can be a bit overwhelming at times, but my experience was smooth and seamless overall.

KLIA is a great airport. World class quality. Golden Lounge was great... Excellent... staffs are so helpful. food was really good and always warm. But not much of beer choice though. Only serve Carlsberg Beer only. They should put more beer choices... And one more thing is there is a small step before entering the main dining area of Golden Lounge, me including other two foreigners got tripped and fell down... They should do something about that. Apart from that, everything was perfect...

I was pleasantly surprised with my experience at KLIA, way better than my experience last year. The express train is the easiest way to get to center of KL. Check and immigration was a breeze. The terminal along side with the wifi were good. But, there could have been a bit more places to eat at.
I did visit the Singapore Airlines lounge in KUL. Honestly the lounge was a huge disappointment, mediocre food selection, lack of seating, in general a less than mediocre lounge.

main terminal - I arrived this airport as I used MH but did not stay for a long time. It's a new airport looks great. give 4 stars

low cost carrier terminal - don't expect convenient facilities since it is built for LCC. I was examined by it's employee who took my passport and asked my passport number before entering the terminal. I understand him because it's a security process. but I felt discriminated :(((

KLIA still looks new and modern. The regional Golden Lounge is adequate while the main lounge at the Satellite building has been expanded to be a huge, cavernous area for J passengers. F passenger area (Private Suite) is to the right upon entrance and while good, is no where near the Concorde Room at LHR.

I was in transit in KLIA.
The overall airport is very good. Lots of shop with some very nice things on sale. Friendly and helpful people. Ma nice variety of restaurants.
Malaysia Airlines lounge was a bit disappointing, however.
WiFi was excellent.
Security at the pre departure area was reasonable but the pre departure lounge was a mess.

I was a transit passengers at this airport and based on my experience, there are variety of restaurants in the airside area. Besides, there are also mini theater available located at Satellite Terminal and is available to all passengers.

As I had plenty of time at KLIA, I took a chance to explore a bit of the city. The immigration was hassle free but the queue was a bit slow

The KLIA2 which replaced the LCCT is pretty much better in terms of food and retail services but the walk from the immigration to gates is way too long. Overall the plan for KLIA2 looks good just be early to be able to make it to the gate or you will miss your flight

Getting to airport will recommend bus at kl sentral rather than ets train if u travel solo. The airport terminal (klia2) is big. Make sure at least arrive 3 hours. Plenty of choice of food and cafe.

Not at all organized. A lot of people were trying to skip the line at passport control and the police didn't pay attention to it. A girl who was standing behind my husband made suspicious movements towards his backpack. However, taxi service is easy to use and not too expensive.

Inside the airport we found a infection of bugs, when we request help to get out the bugs from our baggage they said that do not have anything to kill bugs, we have to kill the bugs by ourself. There is no place to rest between flights. There many places to eat but only McDonald's is open 24 hs.

This is a good airport, though I'm not sure if it is good enough to claim the title of one of the world's best. Main gripe is with the free wifi internet which was only three bars strong at best even within the main building. This will suck for those having long transits. Otherwise, there are ample options for dining and simple shopping and one wouldn't worry much about getting superbly bored. Signages can be worked on as some gates were not clearly indicated that they are not within the main building but on the satellite terminal.

Flew into KLIA2 on AirAsia. It is a massive improvement on LCCT which was basically a shed. This is a proper, modern airport.

The only huge downfall was the wait for the baggage. We waited a massive 40 minutes for a bags to appear on the conveyer belt. 40 minutes!!! After an 8 1/2 hour flight the last thing you want to be doing is hanging around for 40 minutes to pick up your bags. No one around to ask what was happening. The people that were working there wouldn't make eye contact, scared you were going to ask a question. Fairly poor.

As my first time at Kuala Lumpur I was a bit disappointed when going from the gate to the baggage claim. The train from the gates to the arrivals building was extremely overcrowded. After you exit the train the arrivals and departures collide causing confusions. Other then that the airport was not that bad.

Disappointingly crowded. Needed to take rail transfer to satellite concourse. Tansfer and terminal very crowded and unpleasant. Excellent and very friendly staff at information booth. Lounge offered by Malindo Air for Business class pax is the Sama Sama lounge which is below standard. Very dark, crowded, no windows and unpleasant. Staff at airport was overall typical Malaysian: very friendly and nice.

KUL has a few terminal facilities, a small range of Duty Free and Several Restaurants and Cafes, several of which serve typical Malaysian food. There is decent WiFi around both the International and Satellite Terminals. There are not many lounges, the best of which is the Malaysian Gold Lounge. Good Local and International Food and Drinks are served here and there is also free internet access. However, Security is lax and not to a very high standard. Baggage claim also took longer than it normally does and should do
