As this was the first flight of the journey to Tromso, I transferred BA762 (LHR-OSL). In the way of arriving at the boarding gate, the indication was directed, contributing the process to the subsequent flight.

Though was a transfer flight in the same airport. There was security check before arriving the gate C where the terminal of this flight was. In fact, the indication of the passageway was shown evidently.

We drove to the airport by car, check-in was great because we got priority. As well as security check. Then we got to the lounge where we could eat and drink, we also had WiFi and massages. Everything went according to plan.

This was the second flight from CPH to HKG. Because of transfer flight, I didn?t need getting out from the arrival hall, instead went directly to the departure lounge. Thereafter arriving at the boarding gate (BA819), the hall indicated two ways of transfer. Passengers need to check the gate of the next flight first for selecting the way to progress. This was one of the disadvantages of large airports. For the following step, passengers needed to pass through ticket inspection and security check. For proceeding these procedures, it didn?t take a long time. Because of the transfer period between two flights was just three hours including the 60 minutes ahead for boarding an A380, the time for waiting in the terminal remained only two hours. Undeniably, Heathrow Airport was a paradise for shoppers, especially for the tax refund items. The gate for this flight was at C56 which was quite far away from the main terminal. I needed taking 20 minutes shuttle train to the Terminal 5C (C52-C66 gate).

Overall a nicely upgraded international airport. If you are making connections here plan extra time for hiking around and bus shuttle between terminals, followed by more hiking.

the wifi is poor and the terminal is just too crowed and hot inside. Reminds me a little bit of Luton, lots of shops.

Terminal 2 is a nightmare first thing in the morning. The customs lines are long and you have to take an elevator to get to the taxis. These go up and down and a huge number of people are funneled into just a few elevators, all with luggage trolleys and everyone extremely tired from overnight flights...UGH

Terminal 5 was a good airport, however it only catered towards expensive brands. No normal shopping like JD etc, you got your Gucci and Louis Vitton. It is always good to get some affordable duty-free.

T3 at London Heathrow is among the weariest terminals through which I've ever flown. And that list includes Terminal B at LaGuardia and T5 at JFK back in the late TWA days when the air conditioning frequently didn't work. So when I say T3 at Heathrow is tired, I mean it. The corridors are narrow and stuffy. The layout creates numerous crossovers that necessitate waiting at sealed corridors for other passengers to deplane before you can get to your own. (And heaven forbid you decide you want to go back to the other end of the concourse for a bagel. Odds are you'll be waiting again.) The individual gate hold areas are security isolated from the rest of the concourse, which is uniquely unpleasant. And even the vaunted duty free mall is crowded, dark, labyrinthine, and generally unpleasant. What's more, they do not post your gate assignment until an hour before your flight in an effort to keep travelers trapped in the generally sordid confines of the duty free dungeon. If you have another choice of airport, use it.

Terminal 3 at LHR is really very tired and the layout is quite inconvenient. The arrivals corridors are dingy and stuffy. Bathrooms are worn and often distant. The customs hall is exceptionally busy, but very dark and rather grim. And once you get out the landside food options are scant and absurdly crowded. Overall it's not really a particularly pleasant place to arrive. Given any other option I'd pick the other option.

Terminal 5 is nice, but the complete lack of affordable shops is crazy - not everyone travelling through T5 has the money to buy a rolex watch!!

2 hours minimum needed for a transfer here. Can't get between terminals without a bus trip across active taxiways so delays are numerous for aircraft movement.

T5 is too small and the crowds are too big. Long wait to get through security, only a few aisles running. Limited places to sit and eat and those that are there, are very busy.

London Heathrow T4 is not very busy if you compare it to T5 for example. Security was super fast. Only annoying part is that they announce the gate only 5/10 min before boarding. So if you are at the wrong side of the building, you have to walk all the way to the gate.

Normal LHR services, lots of restaurants and retail options. Post knee replacement wheelchair service was non-existent. Fortunately, I had plenty of time to make it throughg automated check-in, security checks and getting to the far end of the terminal on my own.

I only arrived into EGLL?s terminal 3. It was a long walk through a dated corridor to passport control. The lines were long, perhaps due to all the early morning arrivals, but moved quickly and passport control was easy to get through. The arrivals area is also crowded and it?s hard to find any seating. I don?t know how it is on the departures end of terminal 3, but it seems like it?s due for some renovations and expansion.

Heaathrow T5 was a nightmare, too many facial recognition camera's and not enough staff. Take your hat off take your glasses off can't have glasses hanging round neck. Put a turban or a headscarf and it is no problem. Very annoying giving ammunition to the people who call race. Boarding was a shambles with it ending in a free for all because people were jumping the queue. Wife and children went through and I was usheres to the back od a different line even though i was correct. It didn't happen. Not using T5 again if i have other choices.

Too many automated systems at T5 with not enough real staff. Passport control had one man. Everyone was being rushed to E gates, they seperated me from my autistic son and I got through the gate but he was stopped. The reason being given that he was under 18. Staff do not seem to know that children under 18 can use the e passport gates if accompanied by an adult which he was until he was ushered to a differen e gate to me. Staff just shruggee their shoulder and my son who is not confident on his own had to stand in a very long queue. As said too many facial recognition barriers in seemingly not needed places, hat off glasses off nothing around neck or it will beep red and not let you thorough. Not what you need after long haul.

Beautiful Terminal. Spacious, well designed. Lots of retail space airside. BA staff excellent and really helpful. Lots of places to eat and drink. Downside is these can get really busy. Allow plenty of time if you need to get to the satellite terminals by the connecting underground shuttle.

Pathetic shambles on arrival after thunderstorm activity across Southern UK. No contingency plans and ZERO Customer Service...... If I had the possibility of never flying BA again, believe me I would exercise the option. Add insult to injury, Call Centre staff lie outright regarding status when you do actually get hold of them. I used to be Exec Club Gold Guest List and I regret every single penny that was ever paid to BA in past time.........Livid beyond words

Had a wheelchair pre-booked for my wife. Chair arrived on time but as connecting flight was one hour later wheelchair handler refused to take us through to the gate saying we would not make the connection. Had to take wheelechair, wife and case myself and arrived at our gate with 20 minutes to spare!! Extremely poor service so if you have a connection of less than an hour despite being part of the booking you msay not get the assistance you need

If you like queues you?ll love Heathrow Terminal 3.
Queue for checkin, queue for priority security, queue to buy anything from Duty?s Free, queue for lounge acces, queue for boarding.

Getting to the airport was easy, large arrival area outside for busses, taxi and cars. Came in by train (Heathrow Express) which puts you right under Terminal 5. A simple lift up to departures and you're there.
I stayed over night as in a local hotel as it was an early flight, there is a shuttle bus to / from the airport.
Inside and checking in was easy with very little queues, I used the fast track security as part of Club Europe so didn't have to wait there.
Plenty of shops or food bars to keep you occupied while you wait.
The BA Club lounge was great with free news papers, food and drink while you wait. Good views of the airport.

I arrived at the airport by train (Heathrow Express) the night before and stayed over night in a near by hotel. The train brought me directly under Terminal 5 and a short ride in the lift had me up to departures.
I used the shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel, it does a circuit of most of the hotels and runs every 30 mins.
Check in was easy with a small queue, security was soon passed through even though there were quite a few queuing.
Plenty of shops to look around if you're into that and plenty of places to have breakfast. The food was good, the airport staff were friendly and helpful.

Landing at Heathrow moved quickly through the ePassport section and had to wait a short time to collect luggage.
Easy to then move through to arrivals. and get the train into London.
