Quick and easy exit at T4. Automatic passport control works flawlessly. Overall a very good and speedy arrival. Expensive cabs on the way out.

Right before taking the bus to T3, you have American Immigration desk, where you they pre-check you so that you don't have to do it later. Very well.

Getting to the airport was easy, large arrival area outside for busses, taxi and cars. Came in by train (Heathrow Express) which puts you right under Terminal 5. A simple lift up to departures and you're there.
I stayed over night as in a local hotel as it was an early flight, there is a shuttle bus to / from the airport.

Inside and checking in was easy with very little queues, I used the fast track security as part of Club Europe so didn't have to wait there.

Plenty of shops or food bars to keep you occupied while you wait.

The BA Club lounge was great with free news papers, food and drink while you wait. Good views of the airport.

First experience with the UK Border Control. The BC agent was kinda cute, and had I not been jet lagged, perhaps I would have flirted with her. The queue for non-EU passports was very long.

This was the second flight from CPH to HKG. Because of transfer flight, I didn?t need getting out from the arrival hall, instead went directly to the departure lounge. Thereafter arriving at the boarding gate (BA819), the hall indicated two ways of transfer. Passengers need to check the gate of the next flight first for selecting the way to progress. This was one of the disadvantages of large airports. For the following step, passengers needed to pass through ticket inspection and security check. For proceeding these procedures, it didn?t take a long time. Because of the transfer period between two flights was just three hours including the 60 minutes ahead for boarding an A380, the time for waiting in the terminal remained only two hours. Undeniably, Heathrow Airport was a paradise for shoppers, especially for the tax refund items. The gate for this flight was at C56 which was quite far away from the main terminal. I needed taking 20 minutes shuttle train to the Terminal 5C (C52-C66 gate).

London Heathrow airport's T5 is very good for connecting flights but it is a bit tiring to have to take a train from parts A to B and C

T2 is a great terminal. Fantastic facilities, great wifi and very nice securit staff. Too bad that the airport is so overcrowded that you might expect a departure delay.

Landing at Heathrow moved quickly through the ePassport section and had to wait a short time to collect luggage.

Easy to then move through to arrivals. and get the train into London.

I arrived at the airport by train (Heathrow Express) the night before and stayed over night in a near by hotel. The train brought me directly under Terminal 5 and a short ride in the lift had me up to departures.

I used the shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel, it does a circuit of most of the hotels and runs every 30 mins.

Check in was easy with a small queue, security was soon passed through even though there were quite a few queuing.

Plenty of shops to look around if you're into that and plenty of places to have breakfast. The food was good, the airport staff were friendly and helpful.

Heathrow is easily accessible by bus, coach and train from most of the UK. It is Britain's busiest airport. Check-in was easy thank to TAP Portugal's experienced and helpful staff. Security was quick and easy, the terminal had some good eateries and it was great seeing a variety of smaller aircraft and larger aircraft from the terminal. Wi-Fi worked well and was quick enough and it was an all-round comfortable experience while waiting for our flight.

Great getting through immigration with lots of e gates. High ceilings in T5 give an impression of space and airyness. A complete contrast to JFK.

Beautiful Terminal. Spacious, well designed. Lots of retail space airside. BA staff excellent and really helpful. Lots of places to eat and drink. Downside is these can get really busy. Allow plenty of time if you need to get to the satellite terminals by the connecting underground shuttle.

Terminal 2 - The Queens Terminal is state of the art building. I missed Costa Coffe or Starbucks at least. Expensive Duty Free shop.

Great plane spotting location. Huge, clean and packed up w/ duty free shops, cafes etc. Piccadilly runs between all terminals thru city center [45 min ride approx.]. Wifi seamed to not work so well on my day, but others say it's good and available most of the time. Getting in to the UK is fast, like 5 min fast*. Staff is friendly and available everywhere, just ask.
Baggage claim was fast as well.
Only issue appeared on my return home, when while boarding ground staff blocked the gate for 10 minutes due to some sort of issue. We made it with a slight delay.

Overall, 4.5/5

* I am an EU citizen, using smart gates at rush hour with queues not exceeding 10 people at one gate at the time.

Got to the airports Teminal 2 with the LHR Express within 15min from the city center. I used the Business Check-In counters (Terminal 2), which were also very efficient. Fast track was also available, and therefore the security check took me around 3min. There are 4 Lounges which you have access with a Star Alliance Business ticket. I went for the Silverkris Lounge in the Satelite Terminal of the Terminal 2. There were many seating possibilites and a good food buffet, as well as showers and toilets. The boarding (and passport control, which is at the gate) went fast and smoothly. My flight took off on time. All in all a great airport (at least Terminal 2).

Very very long walk from T2 gate at satelite terminal, under the apron to main T2. Then long walk through to Heathrow Express terminal at T3.

Immigration was very fast (using UK passport baggage was quick.

We drove to the airport by car, check-in was great because we got priority. As well as security check. Then we got to the lounge where we could eat and drink, we also had WiFi and massages. Everything went according to plan.

I believe this was the flight that BAA directed the aircraft to the incorrect gate. We had an extra wait time since the gate we parked wasn't connected to the Border Control, so a bus had to come an pick the PAX up to take us to the entry area.

Terminal 5 was a good airport, however it only catered towards expensive brands. No normal shopping like JD etc, you got your Gucci and Louis Vitton. It is always good to get some affordable duty-free.

I love London Heathrow and the only reason I dont give it 5 stars is because it is so large, to the point it feels a bit disjointed and can seem cumbersome with its size. Apart from that, it has all you need and transport with the tube below is superb.

Took the Heathrow Express from Paddington Station. Check-in was ok. I was picked out upon boarding for a search. I felt profiled by the airport authorities, but hey, I wasn't in the US, so anything goes I guess.

Terminal 5 seems to have a problem with its seating capacity for passengers, in particular the A gates building. It's rather crowded, hard to find a place to sit.
