Self-bag drop with Easyjet was seamless, security took a while with only 2 lanes open at mid-day. Departures area was busy but walking thru this area to the gates area, found a very quiet spot at Gate 28, where no flights were departing from, offering fantastic views of parking areas and the runway, to waste time until gate was shown for my flight.

Luton is a good airport, but once you compare it with the likes of Heathrow or Gatwick then it drops right down the list. Nevertheless it is a simple small airport, and nothing complicated too stress out your travels

Barely 3 minutes after landing we were on stand and within a further 5 minutes were in the terminal. Reasonable walk to immigration, which had no queues. Had we just had hand baggage, we would have been out of the airport within 15 minutes of landing - impressive ! Baggage claim area a little small, but bags delivered within 30 minutes of landing and no congestion leaving the terminal. Compared to Gatwick, this was an absolute 'doddle'.

Arrived in plenty of time for my flight, my FIRST flight, i might add.
Managed to book in okay, queues weren't too bad, only had to wait about 20 minutes to book in.
Informed a few staff it was my first flight and wasn't sure what to do or where to go, they were quite helpful.
Got through security okay, they were very helpful.
Found departure lounge eventually, didn't have to wait for too long, went downstairs to boarding gate. Gate locked, although we only had to wait a few minutes on a stairwell before we were allowed to board.
Mentioned again to stewardess that i was a first time flyer and i may be a bit nervous, i got a blank look, totally unhelpful.
Flight was really enjoyable, so i managed to cope all by myself with no problems.

A mid-afternoon flight, bag drop was nice and effortless, security quick, however a lot of construction work is happening in the main departures area. I would recomend taking a walk down towards Gates 23-26, very quiet and open down there to sit and watch movements. All in all a nice Airport to fly from.

Very heavy traffic on approach to airport due to the works on a new car park. Allow up to 30-40 minutes extra just for the section up to the airport itself.

Good trip Airport is nice. Facilities are good Not enough seats at the airport to sit, while waiting, unless you sit at some food place. There is plenty of shops in my opinion, so you can make any last-minute shopping for any neccesary items or for some little gifts or souvenirs.

Airport currently undergoing major renovation so the check-in area is not in a very good state, most shops are closed and empty, however once in the departure lounge everything is fine. Plenty of food outlets and some free wi-fi.
Arrivals generally good, pretty fast moving queue for passports and very swift baggage claim. Bit of a trek to the buses at the moment on an uneven surface, so not recommended for people with mobility issues.

Lutons ok - plenty of shops to keep yu occupied and food not too expensive.
Down side is the walk to the gates which is long, and on the return the walk to the baggage hall is up and down loads of stairs

Good connection with London. The security works very precisely. It is a good place to sleep overnight while waiting for a plane.

Well Luton, has certanily needs a lot of improvement but I think they're on the right track with all the innovations they are doing at the moment.
I'm just hoping that it could live up to the standards many travelers like me are expecting when it comes to the whole experience of a journey.

We visted though Luton airport for a day trip to Harry Potter Studios and found that Luton did not have good wifi or good shops or food outlets in the gate area

Immigration and customs at LTN is a shambles. There were long queues snaking from the passport control gates and booths due to lack of staff. Customs and immigration is cramped and not fit for purpose.

Very slow getting off the plane (stairs arriving late?) and long queues for passport control. Baggage claim well timed, suitcases ready by the time we got through passports.

Diddin't been there too long, but looks very nice, no problems with passport control, all went how it should, line was long, but went VERY fast to happy with that, diddin't need to wait for my baggeg at all, so I really enjoyd that short visit in Luton, really liekd I will be back there !

Overall good airport as a home of low cost airlines. But after a priority boarding they locked us in a small staircase for 10-15 minutes. No air to breathe, it was winter so everybody wearing jackets sweating from heat. My wife was feeling a little faint. It really ruined my Luton experience. Until this moment everything was perfectly fine.

Getting to the airport is okay. You take the train from London to Luton Airport Parkway and then take the shuttle bus to the actual airport. Total travel time is about 35 - 40 minutes. WiFi is not really worth it. Check-In was a desaster, missed our flight due to long queues and had to re-book.

Overcrowded, not enough seating space. If there were any seats, they were full and very congested seating area next to Pret-a-Manger. Liked the pictures on the walls in the walkways though. Plugs to charge phones in the walkway are useless, as the phone can be stolen if one is not careful. Also, benches in the walkways are opposite the charging points, so a bit useless.

It is very wise to have chipped passport (biometric) - Getting through border takes 3 minutes instead of at least 20-30 with standard control. On departure very fast Security check but there is too small retail offer. The airport is very far from London. If You go by National Express Bus Service don't expect less than 2 hours.

First time I have used the long term car park and it is very convenient. The seating area at the airport is actually quite small and there wasnt a place to sit

Easy and fast processing as well as quick luggage pick-up made the experience pleasant. Long walks from plane and to parking lot and seeming shortage of parking payment shelters reduced the enjoyment of the experience.

This airport mainly holds budget airlines, so this airport obviously compromises on luxuries. Immigration is the worst part of this airport. It took so long to immigrate into the UK unfortunately. Overall this airport is ok-ish for people who are fine with compromises on luxury

Reconstruction of the terminal makes it overcrowded. No seats to sit and rest untill gate opens. Arriving to airport is difficult. M1 leading to airport always jammed.

Not a very good airport, The airport was cold, the WIFI was meh, Immigration was slow and a bit confusing, baggage claim wait was not too long. There are nice staff to help you with buying a ticket for the train to London. Airport could have been better. 6/10 would fly here again.

Very crowded inside the terminal airside. Burger King and other restaurants are all before security, so always the worry about how long the queue will be and if you will get through in time. Off site parking is easily accessed and reasonably priced. Long stay car park is a reasonable deal too.

Dosyc daleko od Londynu, transport relatywnie drogi (biorac poprawke na droga na Anglie), w zwiazku z przebudowa przestrzeni wokol terminala nieco zdezorganizowany (niewystarczajace oznaczenia przystankow). Umiarkowanie dluga kolejka do odprawy paszportowej, za to dzieki duzej ilosci stanowisk calosc idzie sprawnie (ok. 10 min). Kontrola bezpieczenstwa nieczepialska.

Everything under construction but airport was over-crowded. Half of the lounge services was unavailable, checking and security was incredibly slow such as onboarding to plane.

- Horrible terminal building, feels more like a run down railway station
- The doors were open and it was bloody cold in most of the building (where I had to wait 90min for my coach to Cambridge)

Luton is a horrible airport, especially if you arrive past 23.00. Tranfers means to London are extremely limited and sparse, and the whole airport is shutdown - no food. WiFi is free for only 30 min, and the waiting time for luggage can reach 50 minutes.

I hate Luton, its tiny and just not my idea of somewhere i want to depart from to go on holiday. But this was a holiday that the parents booked and its easier for them so lets not complain!
