Waiting area service about 6 gates (A36, A37, etc) but has enough seating for about 1 gate. It?s a sea of people.

LAX continues to be my least favorite hub in the Delta network. Confusing, with construction and changes moving things. Unhelpful gate attendants. Good luck making your connection if you have less than a 90 minute layover. Very little seating. Your best bet when flying delta is to take advantage of the sky club. Attendants there are typically more helpful than the gate agents (who are never helpful) and you can usually find a spot to sit. (Although the lounges definitely get crowded.)

More efficient immigration and baggage handling than expected.
I was standing in arrival hall less then 30 min after parking at gate.

For my early morning flight, check in was quick. However, the layout of the airport is a pain to get around. Terminals don't have many food offerings, and walking to another terminal takes a long time. Transit options are pretty poor as well, so don't count on taking the train to your flight.

I love the hustle and bustle of lax. Don't like the traffic entering into lax But I took the for away so it wasn't a problem. Didn't like how terminal 1 isn't connected to the other terminals with all the high end shopping.

To connect from International terminal, one must walk out of the terminal to do so (it?s been modified after). Very hard to find the shuttle bus taking passengers from main terminal to the American Eagle finger. Also, the finger facility was super crowded due to massive delays, people were everywhere.

Fantastic airport.
NOTE: more important than ever for YOU to know the terminal NUMBER.
Each person refers to the terminal differently.
Also with departures, the bus will drop you at the lower level. You then need to go upstairs to departures - called Ticketing !!

If there aren't 1,000 reviews of LAX from today alone I'd be surprised. It's big and moderately well signed. Fortunately we didn't have to go landside to switch terminals.

The TBIT is far better than the other terminals, which are horrendous. I am very glad there are more arrival and departure options for getting to the US other than to LAX.

Flight from remote terminal - yuck! The upside... the T5 lounge is somewhat better than most Admiral's Clubs.
Flying out of LAX is always excruciating, though.

Extraordinarily long queues for customs... Just because a 777-300ER from PR and a 380-800 from CZ come in just about the same time does NOT mean I am obliged to wait 1.5 hours straight. That is UNACCEPTABLE. Also, absolutely no food sold after 11p.m.

Immigration is an absolute joke. A 500 metre long queue AFTER electronic entry OK'd. Half the desks unmanned and one of the employees was chatting up a girl for 10 minutes in full view of the queue. Great welcome to America. Baggage adn Customs were very efficient.

TBIT is great! Traffic is too heavy to get there though. Keep in mind if, like me, you go out to the city during your layover.

This was probably one of the best experiences that I have had at LAX in a long time. Traffic wasn't awful (in LAX standards), check in was a little confusing but easy, security was super quick, and some of the renovations that the airport has been completing have been good! Not sure about all the other terminals (besides TBIT), but T5 is pretty good.

LAX is the worst for international to domestic transfers. Over one hour in passport control after the face scan and then get bags and recheck, only to have to walk outside from terminal 3 to 7. The shuttle would actually have taken longer than walking.

Arriving off the flight and had to wait around 2 hours in immigration. The queues were slow moving and there were lots of closed kiosks that could have been used to speed things up.

Getting to the airport is a nightmare, the traffic is gridlocked. Checking staff were friendly and was soon checked in.
Security is slow, the staff are not very friendly or helpful. They bark orders at passengers and complain about people holding the line up.
The terminal facilities are ok, a few shops but by the time you're through security you only have time for a quite meal before heading to the gate.

We are residents of the Los Angeles area and knew that getting to the airport for a 5:00pm flight would be a typical fight in traffic and it was. Check in for first class was incredibly smooth and easy. I generally can not afford to pay 1st class fees but for this one trip we used Hawaiian's bid up and scored the two seats for only $250 more per ticket. First class gets you TSA Pre-check so that was smooth.
The waiting facilities at LAX Terminal 5 are pretty basic but keep you from starvation and dehydration. At lest there is a free WiFi but I advise you not to use it for any sort of sensitive communications like banking. If you must do those things, pay the fee to get a secured WiFi.

Lounge in the Bradley Terminal makes it worth while, but the terminals do not connect to one another, so you cannot optimize your layover time.
Always leave extra time, traffic is a bear.

Terminal 7 is terrible. However, if you're able to get to the United Club, it was recently renovated and is huge. It's a really nice example of a non-Polaris lounge with good food and modern touches.

What a nightmare getting through customs and immigration. Once you walk the long walk from the gate, you round a corner into a sea of people all lining up like cattle. Very difficult to tell what line to enter as they are so long and windy. Allow at least 3 hours between international arrival and a domestic departure.

LAX TSA must have gone on strike. No shoes off, no belts off and computers to stay in bags. If it is OK today, why inconvenience anyone at any time - and save the USA a trillion dollars of tax payers money and put all these poor chumps into jobs generating revenue for the economy! With the saving Trump could build his wall!

The Star Alliance Lounge in the international terminal is very nice. Plenty of different seats, broad choice of good food and drinks. Nice outside terrace with airfield view.
Airport itself is fine but handling at the terminal gates is poor, passengers are threatened similar to cattle. Unfriendly staff using rude tone. Despite that, the airport tries to overrule the airlines hand carry rules and impose their own.

TSA checkpoints don't consistently have pre-check, the first security checkpoint after customs doesn't have precheck. they send you upstairs where precheck is closed. Best bet - walk to your next terminal then go back in. Avoid terminal 4 if possible - TSA checkpoint is in a former employee breakroom.

The new terminal is great. The TSA staff are self appointed nazis. Without exception they use their badgees totally inappropriately and bark orders instead of asking passengers to do things. Their demeanour totally ruined our and many other passengers opinion of this great new facility.
