The airport and terminal is very big. be sure to follow the terminal maps and food is beyond TSA so no need to rush if you are hungry. TWA hotel on the airport grounds is a great place to rest if you don't mind going through TSA again.

JFK is not as good as it should be for one of the USA's major airport. Transport is fine but depends where in the city you stay. Security there was typically painful as it is for all US airports. Once through the food and drink options are ok but there isn't huge amount of choice. WiFi was decent and there was some decent views to be had out at the aircraft movement around the terminal.

US Immigration took more than 2 hours, this was not even in the 'peak' summer period which I dread to think how long it would have taken.

On the bright side, the baggage carousels were fast and reliable.

JFK AirTrain (and subway into Manhattan) was very expensive.
The food/drink available in departures was also expensive with limited choice.

Always expect CBP to be extremely long with anything. Also, be aware, that if you've traveled to (for example) three middle eastern countries in under a week, like the gentleman that did that was in front of me in the queue, you might be stopped for approximately 2.5-3.5 hours, and for all I know (I didn't get to see what happened to him) denied entry to the country (and he was a US citizen!).

JFK Terminal 7 is pretty small and crowded.
The terminal doesn?t have any shops or restaurants and hasn?t lot seating areas.
It was a pretty uncomfortable airport.
The WiFi si slow.
The lounge was the best part of the airport.

Immigration at JFK for 1st time ESTA is terrible, I waited almost 2hrs to get through. Once through I discovered that the baggage carousel had finished with my flight and my bag was left in a heap we all the bags from my flight.

T4 really need signage from immigration to transportation service desk. Most travelers are foreign and do not know where to go and there are no signs telling them what direction they need to go.

Terminal 4 not great. Duty free system terrible. Goods delivered for collection at Gate. Late in our case meaning had to get out of queue at entrance to plane and go back to gate to collect it. Taxiing for nearly an hour before take off

Terminal 4 seems pretty old. Duty free system terrible. You buy it and it delivered to your gate. In our case it was late meaning I had to return from entrance to plane back to the gate to get it. Confusing and annoying. Wifi not great

Terminal 7 at JFK has been refitted and of course Concorde has its own dedicated check-in counter! No queue, I had checked my bags and had documents in hand within 5 minutes. I got Seat 12D which is the second row in the second cabin (Not a bad seat!)

The breakfast was a self-serve buffet, consisting of: pastries, breads, fruits, smoked salmon, grilled tomato, baked beans, English sausages and eggs. There was also a bartender on hand to serve you your favourite drinks. I like the idea of pre-dining.

You can board the plane straight from the Concorde Lounge!
?BA002 Supersonic Flight to London is ready to board, please proceed to Gate 6 for immediate boarding!? from the speakerphone. We proceeded to Gate 6 to board.

Out dated terminal 7. Recent refresh is an improvement but low ceilings and limited shops for food and drink that are over priced and poor qualty count against it.

Queues going through immigration enormous. You can tell this terminal is a throw back to the 1960's with low claustrophobic ceilings. Not long before BA moves to Terminal 8, as terminal 7 will be flattened.

It took me 2,5 hours to pass de immigration/ customs. We were in big lanes, finally it was my turn BUT the officer left for 10 minutes to get some soda. All other pax from behind me gets another Officer so the passed the costums faster than me. All the bagage was already removed from the belt and no info for our belt!!!!!

This has got to be the most unfriendly, ugly, awful airport to fly into internationally or maybe from anywhere. This is an embarrassment for America and makes me sad this is what people first see when arriving to NY. I will try to avoid this terrible airport.

The SkyLounge at JFK Terminal 4 is truly a disgrace at the moment. When we arrived, they had the nerve to turn away guests of those travelers with Amex Platinum cards, and/or the branded Delta Amex that grants access to the lounges. It was a ZOO! Also, to not have any cell signal while sitting on the aircraft, at the gate, is next level. Very frustrating.

E trains were running slowly and then the AirTrain from Jamaica broke-down and I had to take an Lyft from Federal Circle to T4. Michelle almost missed her flight as well. Didn't have time to use the Sky Club.

T8 requires too much walking to get to the AirTrain. E train from Jamaica to LIC/Manhattan was reasonably quick.

JFK resembles a 80s bus station. T4 is better though. Immigration process is actually pretty easy, but the line is long. Baggage claim is a disaster: they don't even offer free trolleys. In general, JFK is the airport you least want to go if you have a choice.

Someone should replace JFK with a REAL airport. Flights are always delayed any time there's the slightest weather other than perfect clear skies.

Lots of people at immigration, but the actual waiting time wasn't as long as it seemed to be. Airport is busy, but I think the staff is doing their best. You can use the monorail and train or subway to get to the city.

Security check was an absolute mess, no organisation at all from staff letting the situation get out of control. No clear lines and instead of assisting, staff were on their phones. Other than that and the lack of usable wifi the terminal had reasonable facilities.

My flight departed from gate C63 in Terminal 2. I stayed near Penn Station so getting to the LIRR and then to the JFK AirTrain was very straightforward. Unfortunately, Terminal 2 requires exiting the station and walking a fair bit the to the terminal including crossing a few streets. The signage could be slightly improved. Once inside, security with TSA pre-check was a breeze.

The portion of Terminal 2 with gate C63 is a little bit cramped and has what I consider to be limited food and drink options. Brooklyn Beer Garden is definitely NOT my favorite spot.

Terminal 7 (British Airways) - it seems a terminal for low cost flights. It reminded me some small Ryanair terminals. No space, no facilities, really unconfortable in every sense.

Worst airport in the world. They had one immigration officer for around 300 travellers so it took ages to go through. And it's always like that in JFK. Avoid this airport I'd you can!!

- Outdated Terminal 2
- Not enough places to eat in T2
- Poor seating in between gates
- Lack of places to comfortably sit outside of the gates in Terminal 4.
- No photography policy (was told to stop plane spotting and I complied without argument)
- Terminal 2 and to a lesser extend Terminal 4 or not good places for long layovers. They want people in and out quick. Not sure what the other terminals are like.
- I can say the employees were friendly once you spoke to them and even the security was nice about telling me to stop plane spotting which is odd since there are many Youtube JFK terminal plane spotting videos.

We arrived very early, but immigration at T8 was still very full, it took us a long time, and the machines were not that easy to use. Luggage had already been unloaded when we got there but ours hadn't arrived.

Old, not maintained well. Immigration took time, baggage collection took time. Airport access was just horrible, needed to get on connecting train before reaching the subway. Subway was long, crowded and dark. Just horrible.

Couldn't dock for 30 mins because another plane still at at the gate. Then when docked it took 30 mins to hook up jet bridge. Then baggage claim took forever... priority bags actually came out after economy bags.

Horrible services from AA customer service - very rude and not helpful, long lines to check in, security etc. Getting to the airport is complicated unless you take expensive taxi which will stuck in the traffic anyway. Wifi connection was poor.

Getting in to the USA is just the most tedious and badly managed business ever. At peak afternoon time they reduced from 8 Border Force desks to one just as we got in and the queue was well over an hour. Getting a metro ticket into NYC once you know what you're doing is fine, but rather confusing the first time and no-one around to help.

Getting out of JFK is much easier than getting in. Retail is clothes and food with only a tiny electrical outlet in T4 as far as I could see. We were on a trial ptr screen for security and that worked really well, through in 2 minutes flat. In stark contrast to inbound which is indescribably awful!
