Newark is a great airport with great connections to Newark, Elizabeth and New York City. It has great facility's. If you are going to New York City definitely fly to this airport. Newark has three terminals: A, B and C. I flew to and from C, the shops are very good! :)

The airport is new and really big. It has a lot of stores and restaurants. It's more easy to get there than JFK no traffic! Newark Airport is a great airport!

Great services, the staff were really nice and I had a nice warm welcome to the USA! The airport (Terminal C) had excellent facilities! Would definitely recommend this airport for people flying to NJ, NY, DE and CT. Wifi was bad though.

If NYC or NJ is your destination, then this is your best choice, by far. Very efficient connection to the airport both by taxi and pubic transit (New Jersey Transit gets you there in no time from the middle of Manhattan). JFK is far away and LGA is just plain bad from any perspective.
Don't try to use this airport as a connection, I never did, very few people do so and those who do I heard they have a bad experience.

I had a trouble finding a payphone on the airport, and it was confusing with no direction boards. If it is someone's first time it tends to get messy for that person.

Extremely friendly staff at the Cathay Pacific counter. They did their best to accommodate all passengers. Even the cleaners were helpful to point out closest restroom locations as they weren't very centralized.

What a fantastic alternative to JFK! If you can, surely fly out of EWR, you will be much more pleased than of JFK.

Aeroport spacieux, facile d'acces en voiture. Les comptoirs d'enregistrement British Airways sont tres bien situes, a proximite de l'entree et du passage de la securite.
Beaucoup de monde a la securite et agents peu sympathiques, n'hesitant pas a crier les consignes sur les passagers.
Zone reglementee agreable, type americaine mais petite.
De plus, peu de magasins duty-free. Mais belle vue sur le tarmac et sur les appareils.

Bonne signalisation a l'interieur de l'aeroport, notamment lors d'une arrivee depuis un vol international. Passage de l'immigration facilite par des agents aimables, souriants, tout en etant serieux !
Recuperation rapide des bagages et sortie de l'aeroport 30 minutes apres l'arrivee de l'avion en porte.

Deopartures: Nice Security Transpoprtation Personnel on the security check, gentle and smiling.

Not fancy shops, and the smaller ones close already at 10.00pm.

Arrived at airport very early and got checked in quickly and had boarding pass for onward flight printed at EWR. Not much of a departure area with limited shops and duty free. Getting on aircraft very efficient.

I flew into an out of Liberty many a time between 2002 and 2010. It's a decent airport - a big large and complicated for a country boy like me, but I got around. Good shopping and dining options.

Security was really fast this time! I went from arrival gate (international arrival), through immigrations, picked up and dropped of luggage, went through security for my domestic flight and to the departure gate in less than an hour.

Not the best airport in the but its okay. Not the most modern however it runs fairly good with not unpleasant staff and good facilities. Getting to the airport really requires a taxi however as the air train and multiple trains just to get to PATH, and then to the World Trade Center is just a hassle...

The new United Polaris lounge is a great way to relax before your flight. Good food, great seating, and a nice, calm atmosphere. The rest of terminal C has also improved with better food and retail options vs its recent past. Avoid anything flying out of A or B though.

Second time arriving in EWR. This time in winter. No long queus to immigration. Took still nearly an hour. Staff friendly. My luggage was left behind in CP but staff from SAS was very friendly and rapid in helping. The facilities in Terminal B isn't that good. A few places to eat and shop before you enter security but afterwards the lounge is dull with not much to do. 1 Pub and 1 small rest. is all.

Not as bad as many people say. My main beef was that there isn't a dedicated TSA precheck line in Terminal B - at least not when I flew. They hand you a piece of paper sayiing Expedited on it. I put the paper in my x-ray bin, so the screeners didn't see it and I got the regular screening. Fortunately the line was short so it wasn't a big deal. Keep that piece of paper handy if you get it!

easy enough to get to airport using NJ Transit train from Penn Stn. United lounge is old and they're awaiting the opening of a new Polaris lounge, which means the existing lounges are overcrowded.

feed selection is quite narrow, would have expected see more big chains and different food options in such a big terminal.

Having said that, getting from one place to another is fast and easy, customs and immigration is always fast

Newark Liberty International airport is a very convient airport to Newark and New York. Though sadly, it's older design leads to overcrowding and limited TSA Pre Check access. Terminal A has very minimal food options past security. EWR manages wether delays much better than JFK or LGA.

Getting to Newark Airport isn't particularly difficult, though rental car companies are spread out. Check in experiences vary wildly depending on where you are. The United Economy class checkin at Terminal C was wildly busy and a bit confusing. United First class checkin at Terminal C and economy checkin at Terminal A were a bit more controlled. TSA Precheck in Terminal C went quickly later in the day, while it was much longer at 7 am. Security in Terminal A2 for United Express was problematic, as there wasn't a dedicated line. The terminal facilities are nice, though in some parts of the airport, there are very limited stalls. Wifi did not work on the day I was there and needed it. Food and retail services have changed, and it is now difficult to find a quick meal that is inexpensive.

Avoid Terminal A if possible and Terminal B has limited offerings. Terminal C has decent space and food offerings and the end wing is best. Avoid the Airtrain if possible as it can be under maintenance at critical times.

Terminal C isn't that bad compared to the other terminals. But the food is mediocre and very expensive. There should be free wifi. When you are stuck waiting for a plane, it would be great to have better facilities and better food. Like the food facades look better than the food tastes. I had the burger place and honestly it was crap. The lobster place seemed good but I am more a fan of CT style roll than the ones they offered, even at the price they had I would had bought it. But its my local airport and I think I may try JFK instead next time.

EWR has taken a lot of strides in updating their facility, however, their food choice and services within the terminal is very subpar. They are in the right direction though, and it's better than LaGuardia.

Check in and security were awfully slow, terminal facilities and shops were very average, as were the seating areas. This is based on terminal C around the gate 112 area from where I departed.
