Above average terminal 3 , limited food options in departure area , toilets crowed need more of them , free public shower available near gate 35 . since the upgrade is in progress you will required to take bus to reach the aircraft which can be inconvenience for some . Good thing is

Abu Dhabi Airport is pretty nice actually. I was at Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. Everything is pretty clean but there could be more Toilets. Terminal 3 especially downstairs was pretty crowded due to the rushhour. I think it's a convenient airport for transferring from Europe to Asia/

Be ware that the security process can be slow moving. I had 1:15 connection and it was very tight, especially if you're arriving into Terminal 1 and going to Terminal 3

Shambles, had 90 minute connection for onward flight to Australia. It would have been impossible due to chaotic security and incompetent staff. Problem solved by onward flight adding a further4 hours delay.

Usual shambles in transit through this facility. After clearing security in chaotic scenes, went to lounge only to be later asked to queue outside the lounge to re-enter the lounge to await boarding. Luckily there was a 3 hour gap between flights, any less would have meant missin

Overall good experience when i transferred in Abu Dhabi. Only downside i felt was that there aren't enough toilets especially around busy hours.

They are building a new and modern airport, so my judgement is suspended. If it wasn't for the kind staff with their shuttle inside the terminal, the distances to walk are just too much.

Every time I've landed here this year is at a stand about as far from the terminal as possible, then overcrowded bus to terminal.
It's really annoying when you see so many air-bridges vacant!

The gate area is third class with insufficient seating and long queues at the only food and beverage shop. Boarding was chaotic, busses were not available, gate has changed without annoucement, everybody was allowed through business class queue while those behaving appropriately had

Luxurious and modern airport but staff is unfriendly, especially when processing flights outbound to Asia.

For those travelling with infants or toddlers, free strollers are available at some areas in the terminal. Look out for yellow MacLaren strollers.

I must made a international phone call and I bought a telephone card of 30 AED( ~10 Euro).I try probably in ten machines and all the said error 501. Is immposible to make phone calls unless you want to pay mobile phone calls with extra extra charges.

Clean and employees are friendly and helpful

A complete chaos! We took 3hours to get through immigration at arrivals. A long and slow queue.
Then we took hours to check-in even if we had the priority lane. People working at the check-in looked like first day at school.
At the time of boarding we were still checkin-in.

Many problems with check in and finding accurate terminal/gate. Rude and not helpful staff. I expected modern building and smart facilities, but I was really disappointed. However wifi works properly and it is possible to find nice place to sleep. AC too cold.

Very friendly Airport Staff, Good Terminal facilities, Airport is not that big so its easy to clear all process easily. I will recommend this airport for any future flights. Flights fares are expensive from here but still i like to travel from here.

Any departure between 20:00 and 03:00 and the airport struggles to cope with the number of passengers. The business lounge was packed and this is the new facility which is 4 times bigger than the old one. Roll on the new terminal.

This airport is now over itsd capacity, and overcrowded.
This cause delay long queue.

New Lounge is not as good as the previous one too big non intimacy.

Luckily, as I was travelling business class a lot of the initial stress of queuing is removed when you don't have to stand in line for long periods. From drop off to check-in through security and into the departure lounge took no longer than 15 minutes, excellent.

New terminal will be very welcome. This was too crowded. A lot of retail but not much seating in food area. At least there's free wifi in food court!

I can see they are making headway but will avoid this airport while bussing is the mainstay. Nitably there is alot of seating

Be warned, if you fly through AUH as a transfer pax at night expect some enormous security queues. Last night I saw some of the worst queues at transfer security as I have ever seen in the world and I travel a lot.

I live in Dubai so initially we thought it would be a challenge getting to Abu Dhabi for 5AM but the coach picked us up from a hotel called Chelsea hotel in Dubai on Shiekh Zayed Road allowed us to get to the Airport. Everything in the airport worked like clock work otherwise.

Small airport compared to DXB but nice pleasant experience when coming and going thru.
Takes small amount of time to pass immigrations and baggage claim as these services are quick and excellent so people prefer this airport for Abu Dhabi citizen as it is also nearby then DXB.

Very onorganized airport. Check-in area is blocked by security pre-checks (meaning that you cannot get out afterwards) and have to wait for your flight checkin to start in a closed space.
Transit area is very crowded with shops and people.
