An excellent airport. Getting to the airport is easy by bus, taxi or train. Checkin was done quite rapidly, however security checks are taking quite a time. Facilities and shops are up to standard nd wifi is strong.

Uno de los aeropuertos mas comodos que he estado, aunque el aire acondicionado si vas ha estar ahi mas de dos horas esperando para hacer transbordo, llevar un jersey, calcetines y si es posible un buen libro...No olvidar de pasar por la tienda de Jim Thompson . Sala de fumadores. Muy bien para comunicarse con el otro aeropuerto domestico el autobus es gratis aeropuerto a aeropuerto, en la planta baja, que tambien encontrareis el Metro, y autobuses que te llevan a otras ciudades y al centro de la ciudad.

2014 July-ahead to MUC: sweet passenger server when im alone finding my boareding gate in BKK, but i spent too much time on finding info encounter and by the way, wifi it only last for 1 hour, BKK is quite large and wide in general

Very slow service at baggage claim area. There was too many passengers in 1 baggage claim. I recommend them to have 1 line for First Class,Business Class, Gold and Platinum card holder and another one for Economy passengers especially for flight which operated by Airbus A380

The Suvarnabhumi airport in Bangkok is very nice, convenient and easy to navigate. I had a 7 hour layover there and it went by really quick with all the things to do. It also helped that it was very clean and visually appealing. I wouldn't hesitate to transfer through this airport again.

The only problem at BKK is the sheer limited number of immigration counters. And if the flight arrives at late night hours or early morning hours, it will be terribly crowded. Takes a while to get through immigration.

Huge Airport with endless shops to shop from. Its 2nd best airport that I have been so far. The 1st is still goes to Changi International Airport in Singapore.
If you are arriving at night, there is no much of long Que in the immigration check-in counter. Baggage claim was fast and convenient. What can i say, It's my type of airport that i don't want to leave. Whenever i am transiting or arriving to this airport, I spend at least 2-3 hours shopping...

Flight fare was cheap. Thought use Jetstar or Tigerair though, CX is cheap and reasonable, considering services provided. Although they didn't come to serve me even though I called many times. These crews were interested in chatting and finally I went to galley and ask a glass of coke. It's silly.

Suvarnabhumi is a very neat looking airport. Clean, Immigration and Baggage claim was quite fast compared to previous visits, however signs should be made better visible and more clear. Next to that, food is ok and not a lot of variety with shops. WiFi is working fine and plenty of seating areas in case you want to sit.

Huge Airport. If you are transferring flights and have to walk one side to the other give yourself plenty of time. I would hate to have had a bad leg.
Staff are very friendly and helpful but need to be as internal construction is still going on and had to make some obscure detours through building works.

Getting to the airport is really well (45 baht only by special train).

Wifi is free and quick enough to even have a call.

Food had reasonable prices for the airport and was tasty.

Immigration was quick and well done, passport control before departing was much longer and problematic as I needed to find some Immigration Card, which I've filled on first day in Thailand and forgot about keeping it near myself.

Airport is well signed, you can easily find a way to place you want, like departure/taxi etc.

Absolutely great airport. From my accommodation in central Bangkok to the airport it took about 40 minutes using the BTS SkyTrain / Airport train, and it only cost about ?2! The airport has extremely good wifi and both check-in and security were lightning fast! Lounge and food services were also very good.

Usually I take a taxi to the airport from Central Bangkok. Cost about 350 Baht. Check-in can vary according to time of day. Business Class (Royal Silk) very good and straight forward. You are fast tracked immediately to security (no hassle) then to immigration, again in the fast track it is smooth. A walk out of immigration down the escalator and into the lounge. Now there is a problem. Plenty of space. The bar (if a drink is required is hidden to the right as you enter. No help yourself to copious quantities of booze I'm afraid. Though it must be said that Thai is usually very generous on board. Plenty of space. The food leaves a lot to be desired. Always luke warm and cold by the time you get back to the table and seat. Choice of food could be a lot better. Drinks of the soft variety seems to be fine. Noise is a problem. The lounge is open-plan and you hear all the chatter and announcements for flights etc inside the lounge. Very of putting if you want a restful period before flying. My flight was gated from the far end from the lounge and a 15 minute walk. After the walk, once again - the bus. Why I always seem to get a bus ride at BKK, I don't know. So we are driven to the cargo area of the airport all the way back past the lounge we have just spent 15 minutes walking from to catch the bus. No distinction made for business class passengers. Crammed into a bus where everyone stands unless you are a child and papa and momma, insist you have one of the handsful of seats. Never mind if you are 70+ and decrepit. If BKK is new to you, it's a large airport, plenty of empty high end shops, doing no business to show, and some fast food and Thai food outlets crammed at the far ends of the terminals with next to no seating for the thousands of people all wanting to eat the junk.

Suvarnabhumi is a massive airport in scale, and the walking distance might be overwhelming for lots of people. The signs telling people the distances to the other parts of the airport almost makes you want to sit down and just give up.
The facilities are good, cleanliness could be better but there seem to be set up more restrooms.
Food and retail are average with typical higher airport prices.
The lounges I checked out so far are not any special compared to other airports, but still a better place to be than in the public areas.
Wifi is working almost everywhere, but speed and stability could be better.
Getting a taxi from the airport is well organized, and even Suvarnabhumi is a large airport it is easy to find your way.

Suvarnabhumi Airport is pretty nice and efficient, but requires a lot of walking through the single terminal and very few moving walkways in some areas. The paintings and statues are appealing, and it really reflects Thai culture. However, the air conditioning was very hot, and the wifi was fast, but very very difficult to connect. The staff are really nice and check-in was fast, little queue at the immigration. The terminal and toilets were very clean. Lots of things to buy in the airport although some of them are over priced. Overall, a very good airport but still can improve other areas.

Such a great airport! My all time favorite. One big but nicely planned terminal. Many shops and restaurants. Good gate system (thanks to two levels). Spacious airport, also gate areas. Staff always smile and friendly. Fast baggage claim. Ok free wifi but requires annoying registration. Some negative though: usually long lines for passport control and security. They really should improve this even more. Quite long walks from/to gates. High prices at restaurants (for example beer 300B). Some toilets are hidden behind restaurants. Too many announcements all the time...Even still i love bkk airport :)

One of the best airports. The Royal Thai lounge is really great. Good food and variety of drinks. Fast security and immigration. Great shopping and facilities. In case you are a smoker, then the smoking rooms are few and hard to find.

I used fast track service that I highly recommend and will always pay the extra to bypass the queues through customs, I was met by a guide who took me through the fast lane and straight to immigration, and I was the only one at this counter, from there I went straight to the luggage conveyer where I collected my luggage and was the first out of the airport. The staff were very friendly, and I look forward to using this service on my next trip to Bangkok.

Massive Airport with dozes of facilites. Strongly recommend the foot and shoulder massage center located in C Concourse in departure level near boots store. The Royal Orchird lounge also provide free SPA service for business class and first class passenger, which is a very good service among world's other airport. Security check and immigration process make take quite a long time in peak hour, it would be the only major thing for further improvement.

Airport design is not so good with only one terminal and very limited moving walkways the distances involved in geting around are substantial.

As a Platinum member with Thai, I get to use First class lounge which is nice, business class lounges closer to gates tend to get very crowded.
